It’s 33° cold to start the day. I need to go for a walk but find it so hard to be motivated in this damp cold. Dry cold is much preferred. Similar to summer when dry heat is much preferred.
Great news about the toilet fix, RKessler. That is a big thing in my opinion, a big thing we typically take for granted until it does not “sit right.”
This is a little gross, but I heard a woman from N Korea speak, and she had no conception of a trash can. She said they even used strands of loose hair for fire starter. She said the government had no fertilizer so they came around to collect feces from the people to use for that purpose. That gave me a new perspective on such things.
Oh, yes, that is something for which to be grateful. There are so many things we take for granted. I didn’t hear a lot about my mother’s travels in Europe and Asia, but I did hear about different public restroom experiences. Lol. I am thrilled for decent bathrooms.
Janice, I suppose I have told on here that my husband worked with a man who was in a band with Dylan in his high school years? There is a monument in tribute to him at the high school. The actor who played him in the movie, “A Complete Unknown,” came to the high school and spoke to the theater group there during his research. It was very exciting for them, no doubt.
We are below zero in wind chills. I am looking forward to the days lengthening already. I am so glad we have Christmas to add light and joy to this dark time of year.
I don’t remember you telling that, Kathaleena. I was surprised to see that Johnny Cash was a big supporter of Dylan. And Art’s cousin was a back up guitarist for Cash so he would have known Dylan. What a small world!
Good Morning! 23 degrees and snowing. Seems the town is shut down but the depth is only about 3 inches. Supposed to snow until 11 tonight and the predictions are all over the place. 1-3 inches and possibly 7…so surprise me!! I have heard the roads are a complete mess but the plows have been down our road twice…
Rk..thankful you now have a reliable flusher that is stable! Ya really don’t want to fall off that thing!
Adorable kitties! I love them from afar♡
