Here is on person’s take on MTG…noted person is running for Congress
Members of Congress only need 5 years in office to lock in a lifetime federal pension, paid for by YOU.
MTG was sworn in on January 3, 2021.
Five years later is January 3, 2026.
And now she’s conveniently walking away on January 5 with her golden parachute fully secured.
Must be nice to scream “Drain the Swamp” while cashing one of the swamp’s sweetest lifetime benefits.
Regular Americans can’t even get affordable healthcare, can’t retire at 62 without worrying about losing everything, can’t see a Social Security raise but Congress can clock 5 years, throw up their hands, and walk out the door with a check that follows them until the day they die.
This is why people are fed up.
This is why the grassroots are rising.
This is why we need fighters who aren’t chasing federal perks, they’re chasing RESULTS.
In Georgia, the speculation is that she will run for governor. There are so many already running hoping to replace Kemp. The time is right for her to try.
It is not politically correct, but my thought is that she is 51 and going through menopause which makes some ladies (not transgenders) have a season of hot flashes and edgy thinking.
As for the NYC mayor elect, he is Muslim and their faith allows them to lie if it benefits them and their cause. Trump took what he was told and said the man has some good ideas. The follow through will show the realities of the whole situation.
From an X post by MTG on part of the reason she is resigning:
~ “The hoax pizza deliveries have started now, to my house and my family members.
Update: we also received a pipe bomb threat on my construction companies office building.
President Trump’s unwarranted and vicious attacks against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and my family.
Unfortunately, I’ve been down this road before. As a matter of fact, as I campaigned all over the country and defended President Trump, I received dozens of swatting calls on my house and my family members homes along with these hoax pizza deliveries, but even more severely I have received some of the most death threats of any Member of Congress that led to multiple men being convicted and serving time in prison.
And all of that came from the left.
Now that President Trump has called me a traitor, which is absolutely untrue and horrific. Mark Levin has been calling me a traitor. And so have other prominent likely paid social medial activists.
This puts blood in the water and creates a feeding frenzy. And it could ultimately lead to a harmful or even deadly outcome.
Also, the timing of this just happens to be days before we take the vote on releasing the Epstein files.
I love America and the American people, and I swore an oath to uphold the constitution and always do so.
I am not a traitor.
However, when the President of the United States irresponsibly calls a Member of Congress of his own party, traitor, he is signaling what must be done to a traitor.
I fought harder than anyone to help President Trump get elected and I support his administration and the promises we made on the campaign. I am a Republican in good standing and have paid all of my dues to the NRCC. My voting record is one of the most conservative voting records in Congress and I’m very proud of that.
The toxic and dangerous rhetoric in politics must end and we need healing in this country for all Americans.” ~
I did see somewhere that she refused to take a paycheck during the shutdown. Is it a done deal that she will accept that pension? I don’t know. Maybe she might feel she deserves it for putting her l8fe on the line. I don’t know.
We are in the Blue metro. She is in the Red rest of the state. It is almost like having a separate state within the state. I know she has always been noisy and an attention getter, but I have not really followed her. It certainly goes along with the muddy politics of the times.
Retired Army Major, former Democrat State Senator, and current Democrat candidate for Congress in North Carolina Richard Ojeda urges all military members to “refuse” any order that is
“unlawful, illegal or immoral” from their Commander-in-Chief:
“What’s up everybody? Major retired Richard here.
And as a former leader who spent 24 years in service to this country, I think it’s important to remind everyone that we teach our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, Space Guardians, Coast Guardsmen and members of our National Guard that if they are ever given an order that is unlawful, illegal or immoral, it is their duty to refuse those orders.”
“This isn’t rocket science. We have a wannabe dictator in office that thinks that anyone who doesn’t agree with his cruel and evil ways should somehow be prosecuted or sentenced to death.
This is what happens when we elevate a criminal to the highest office in the land.” “Donald Trump is literally calling for the executions of elected officials, because they are reminding our military that they have a choice to oppose cruelty. Our country deserves better than a want to be dictator.
Remember your oath. So clear the way. Airborne all the way.”
Say what you will about the right but the left has lost their ever lovin minds! Imagine if Republicans made such seditious statements on the airwaves! They cannot come up with one illegal order given by this President!!! TDS is a real mental disorder!
Actually, you do NOT refuse the orders, you say “yes, sir, or yes, ma’am,” then go to the person in rank above whomever has given you an ILLEGAL order.
The UCMJ lists what to do and how to handle an order you believe is illegal.
The Uniformed Code of Military Justice will explain everything anyone needs to know: https://ucmj.us/
Officers are trained on this subject–they sit court martials. I assume enlisted men heard something about it at boot camp. They certainly would be familiar with the UCMJ.
It’s worth noting the head of the Armed Forces IS the Commander in Chief–the president.
The only people who can override orders HE gives is Congress–by impeaching him.
Thanks for your input, Michelle. I shudder to think some well-meaning, ignorant young service person might ruin his/her life by doing something foolish because of that ad.
All workplaces have or should have a standard procedure for dealing with illegal directives ie they break labour law or contractual agreements. And the military is no different. There’s nothing wrong with Congress reminding the military but its really not necessary nor was Trump’s over-the-top response.
And like any workplace, what happens if you exhaust the internal procedure and you are left with an order to commit an illegal act? For example, a principal tells me to physically restrain a student. I clarify the order, I report it to the union but I’m still stuck with the directive until the higher powers sort it out. And thus there’s the possibility of job loss versus criminal charges. Similarly, officers can be left a court martial if they refuse and charges in an international court or even at home if the act is later deemed unconstitutional. For example, Russian and Israeli soldiers are having a hard time travelling after obeying what is deemed in their country a lawful order. Of course, I don’t think that prospect will apply to Americans even if things in Venezuela go sideways.
And as I mentioned earlier, Congress has long granted leeway to presidents to act in foreign affairs to protect American interests especially since Reagan. Both parties were fine with Bush/Obama etc bombing and using drones, why should Trump be different — other than a profound lack of trust in Trump by Democrats and now even some Republicans.
I don’t begrudge Greene retiring so that she’s eligible for pension — anyone would do that. I waited til i was eligible. A colleague just retired at the end of the first reporting period — she was eligible three weeks previous. Some may say she should have either waited til the end of the year or not start this year but why? she put in her time.
The issue around Greene shouldn’t be her compensation but how she managed to enter the House with a wealth just under a million (probably her house) and leave with tens of millions in wealth less than a decade later. Insider trading is far too prevelant in government.
I also find the events preceding resignation interesting. Its becoming apparent that the MAGA agenda that motivated Greene and others is falling apart. And the swamp, both fiscal and moral, they vowed to clean is instead larger and more brazen. Perhaps with political aspirations elsewhere — Governor — she’s leaving before the collapse taints her.
There is a “book” out on how to work with Trump and clearly Mamdani has picked up on it. Flatter him, give Trump credit, focus on policy using phrases that Trump himself used, and use your ideas to intimidate. Macron does this extremely well and Mamdani followed in his footsteps. He also benefited from the fact he has a strong base of supporters and owes nothing to Trump nor does he really need Trump’s support. The pictures from that meeting have spawned a million memes. It will be interesting to see where this goes
And yes, enlisted men and women are given instruction on how to handle an actual unlawful order. The UCMJ is also taught, both the rules, and what’s unlawful.
This is not unlawful.
Just because Dems and their rear echelon media experts say it’s so, doesn’t make it so.
“Panic and chaos as parents rush to get their children off of a school bus as news spreads that ICE was raiding the Belhaven Estates in Charlotte, NC. ICE purposefully launched this kidnapping operation during a school bus drop off time for an elementary school (11/19/25)”
“Some people think she’s just deranged but I think she’s laughing her way to the bank. She’s like the Duke and the Dauphin in Mark Twain’s “Huckleberry Finn.” Their ridiculous posturing was cynically aimed at cashing in on the world’s very large supply of gullible idiots.”
“The president is smart to keep up heat on those who participated in the commercial. After urging members of the military to defy “unlawful” orders by the commander in chief, none can name an example or lie about what the president has ordered.
If it’s preformative B.S. and it appears to be a simple drill then how do you know the nationality and immigrant status of those involved. Why is this even being shown in any context? Other than as rage bait
Trump told Mamdani that it was okay to call him a fascist. Not sure why his supporters are upset that Mamdani then calls him a fascist.
Reminds me of the logic of his executive order against antifa — who else would call anti-fascism a terrorist ideology except a fascist?
I’ll leave this here lest we forget the command from an incompetent commander in chief! And don’t forget how many lives were lost that day at his hand and will!! Afghanistan!
Biden called the withdrawal “messy” but defended the decision to end the war: Biden acknowledged the withdrawal was “messy” but ultimately defended the decision to end America’s longest war, stating that the reasons for staying had become unclear and that the terrorist threat had become more dispersed
I’m sure the Armed Forces planned and/or “gamed” the evacuation probably since the minute they arrived In Afghanistan updating the plans as conditions changed. In any case, the order to leave came far too late and blame can be given to all four presidents Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden.
First there’s no reason why Bush and especially Obama should not have pulled troops out by the end of their presidency. Both had second terms in which there were minimal political considerations.
Trump actually signed a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban in February 2020; agreing to rules of engagement until the final withdrawal in May 2021. This was delayed til September 2021 by the Biden admin. And the messy withdrawal blame has centered on Biden but given the General Staff knew 18 months earlier suggests this was a military error not a political mistake.
No doubt it was legal but he was at the helm at the time and the onus is on Biden….period. Needless bloodshed and death of Americans and those left behind…
Interesting day of politics yesterday. MTG quitting and Trump cozy with Mamdani?! Hmmm

January 5th isn’t a resignation date.
It’s a cash-out date.
And the whole country sees it.

Funny, she had no problem with the tone of politics when it was her slinging the mud.
Selective outrage at best.
As NJ pointed out above, Ms. Drain the Swamp just pulled a swampy move to ensure a lifetime pension first.

I read somewhere that the pension does not start until age 62.
