  1. Indeed, jo. Rejoicing with you.

Wind makes such a difference in how we feel the temperature. This cold was not pleasant at all. We won’t be really warm, but at least back to normal by tomorrow. Isn’t it interesting how sometimes we love normal and sometimes we don’t?

  2. I was out raking yesterday late as the temp was dropping and the wind was up. It felt exhilarating and prepared me to feel and enjoy this morning’s temp. My friend told me about the most beautiful sunset. I had missed it though outside because I was intent on rakings those leaves off the ground. A Mary and Martha moment!

  3. Morning! It was 39 this morning headed for 65! We are dry here and look forward to predicted snow next week!

Back home they have a snowstorm going. 3 inches and slick… they beat us to the first snow this year!

    Thankful with you Jo! ❣️

  4. Good afternoon. I think wr are up to the 50s. We are preparing for butchering later in the week

We separated out the lambs and were trying to get the cabrito in, when he jumped over the fence and took off toward the neighbors. Hopefully he will come home. Chasing a goat is about as useful as chasing your own tail.

  5. We had snow today, too. My husband gave me a heads up a few days ago that we were going to have a low in the 20s (by far the coldest morning so far this season) and snow. Since the trees nearly all still have their leaves, it made for an exquisitely beautiful morning. It wasn’t the prettiest fall ever; on quite a few trees the leaves just shriveled up and turned brown. But the individual trees that show nicely all did really well, and they’re all at peak right now, so a half inch or so of snow made for some real beauty. I also got shots of snow on sunflowers, which was totally unexpected–sunflowers usually fold at the first frost, and we had two light frosts a couple of weeks ago.
