  1. Somehow we are watmer, in the 60s In Atlanta, and it is in the 50s south of us to start the day. That’s lower than average lows but we will be at average high, in the 80s, later today.

The cooler morning weather makes me want to get a slower start to the day, but later in the day, if it is cooler, I feel like moving faster.

  2. My nephew is getting married soon – they said no gifts, but if we wanted we could contribute to their honeymoon $. I have no clue what is appropriate in a monetary gift. I usually try to find something nice on sale, or give them a gift card to Canadian Tire (useful store with everything from kitchen to garden to outdoor life to automotive and home improvement). Does one just put cash in a card?

It’s also the very first wedding where we were to choose “chicken or beef”. Every wedding I’ve ever been to everyone was served the same food. I think it’s going to be a very classy wedding – I’m a little nervous.

  3. Sitting in the house and a goat and two dogs come running into our yard. The dogs then have something treed in the backyard. I sent a picture of the goat to the neighbor I suspected would own it. Sure enough. The goat was home before they came by for the dogs. The dogs had something treed and were reluctant to leave the tree. After they were taken home, we went to look and saw a black cat about 15 feet or so up in a big pine. The goat is a pet and runs freely with the dogs. The owners think it thinks it is a dog.

  4. If you are making sure you are putting the card in a safe place, you can just give cash. Or you can write out a check. I am sending a check soon for a wedding myself. If I am going it is nice to get something off a wedding gift list, too. I didn’t find anything on their online list that I wanted to go through the hoops and buy.

  5. Grieving for Charlie Kirk and his family. He spoke truth and was reaching this generation. Always polite, and always asking for the students to clarify their beliefs A voice of reason.

    Truly, truly sad
