Good morning! I hope everyone has a good day without drama!
Current temp is 74° and again we will have a high around 84°. We have tropical weather keeping us under a lot of cloud cover with some rain. Weather crew on TV news complained of it being muggy outside. It is fine by me with these temps.
65 with a high of 72, supposedly. The cool breeze is nice. The smoke is a bit better this morning, although that probably will not last. We got a nice shower during the night.
house is 84. Fan is on trying to cool. no room on flights at 10 and 2 finally made the 5 flight jo at 8:45 as it got dark. So glad not to be on the 8:30. home
house was 96. Even the ac didn’t help
spent the day reading and walking. Singing I’d rather have Jesus as I walked
sixty two autumnal degrees here but the heat is headed back towards us.
The doe ate half my begonia and all my garden phlox in my little red wagon this morning before I shooed her away. A coyote was chasing my fox so I went out and shooed him away too. The sweet kit was hiding in my neighbors tall grass. She walked up to me after the coyote left. The two kits seem to return to my neighbors front porch where they were born. So fascinating these beautiful creatures the Lord has created.
My children were delighted, with grins and laughter, when I read the introduction and they realized we were looking at the Revelation again. On of their favorite books.
Janice – Interestingly, Teen has never expressed an interest in me attending his games. Often there were other things going on before or afterwards (and the games often took place far away because of the weird youth league he was in), so that it would be inconvenient for Nightingale to either pick me up or drop me back home. Other times, Teen went with his other grandparents, and then went to their house after.
Maybe now that he will be playing high school football, I will have a chance to attend.
I think it is good to go watch the games when you can. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to watch as many as we would like. Sometimes we have been able to watch online, which is better than nothing.
I recently read a post where someone called it the book of Revalutions. That may be a good idea. One of my daughters told me that is what the county uses to raise real estate taxes. 😉
We did once watch 6 soccer games in one weekend, plus a softball game. The softball game was just a bit out of our way as we drove the four drive home. Whatever good that gives one a chance to connect with young people is helpful in a relationship.
I remember a coastal drive in CA the one time we went there. I think we drove by Pebble Beach. It was all very beautiful. I was amazed that there were beaches where people did not have to wear much but sunscreen. We avoided those 🙂 I loved seeing the Redwoods♡
With Teen, I have been blessed to have had him growing up in my home since shortly before he turned a year old. He still likes to hang out with me for a little while here and there, and told me that when they move, he will be dropping by to visit me. I joked with him that I will pretend to not be home. 😀

Kizzie, I am glad to hear that Teen is playing football again. Do you go to some of his games?

Revelation is a very hope filled book! And it is good to read it aloud. Stay blessed, Mumsee!

Kizzie, after spending the weekend watching soccer matches, I know it means a lot to them to have us there.
Praying for a way for you to see a game or two.
Blessings,
Jo

Home again after a lot of driving. It was 80 degrees Sunday night in Seattle where we attended our niece’s wedding on a boat!
Wonderful family get-together. So splendid and joyous–with, of course, a gorgeous bride.
We took two days driving home, just came down the Redwoods coast of California. Beautiful.
But I’m glad to be home!
