  1. So if you are a white victim you should be prosecuted jailed and your black attackers should go free… oh Cincinnati what have you been drinking??!

Instead of condemning the mob violence, black community leaders in Democrat-run Cincinnati are demanding one of the white male victims be charged for slapping one of his assailants.

The clown show unfolded on Monday, when Ohio State Rep. Cecil Thomas trashed the Cincinnati Police Department’s handling of the brawl.

“The black community of this city demands to be respected,” Thomas said with a straight face.

“Our community is restless, and they’re watching,” Pastor Lesley Jones said, per WLWT.

“We’re demanding prosecution in the next 24 hours,” she warned.

And to think my daughter’s black college professor declared to the class there is only racism from-the white people…blacks cannot be racist. Because straight white Christian men started racism. My brown daughter didn’t reveal to her professor that her Dad was a white straight Christian man.

  2. Obviously we’re only slightly more than half way through the year so its impossible to say there will be a net negative migration. Someone predicted negative numbers others are only saying it will be lower. And can we really trust US stats — Trump has a habit of firing those who report the wrong stats

To achieve negative migration, more people have to leave than who enter…..that’s not necessarily a good indicator for Trump. One could say life is so unbearable under Trump, more Americans have chosen to leave than people choosing to come here…. the question will be who is leaving and who is coming to determine whether this is good news or bad

Interestingly the last sustained period of negative migration was 1931 to 1940….. the great depression, perhaps a negative migration will indicate a failing economy. Migration, legal or illegal, is heavily reliant on the economy.

Several of the groups who predict lower migration numbers do cite the lower economic numbers to back up their predictions. And some of these organizations lean Republican.

  3. Crime is down. Despite some fluctuations, crime has been steadily decreasing in the US for the last 30 years.

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/191219/reported-violent-crime-rate-in-the-usa-since-1990/

There are various reasons but probably the most important factor is demographic — there are less young men. And probably even more important, the young men that are here drink less alcohol. Sure one can argue changes in methodology and policy but no matter how or where crime is counted, it is down, way down

And Washington DC is down more than most, it has less violent crime than places like Nashville and Baton Rouge. I’ve gone through these stats in the past and violent crime rates are similar on a per capita basis no matter the city size whether there are 20, 000 or 2 million people, whether the state/city leans blue or red, it matters little. Crime is down.

But statistics are not the point for Trump — it’s about extending rule by law by any means necessary. It’s about projecting power. it’s about extending the executive authority.

  4. “Round them up” is an interesting turn of a phrase when discussing en massse deportations.

My question is simple will the Trump admin draw a distinction between supporting Hamas and supporting Palestine. Can one criticise Israel or Zionism without getting deported? Will one’s position on Israel determine permission to travel within the US? Tourism to the US is on a massive downturn…..

“Just last year, 70 business groups with offices in D.C. wrote Mayor Bowser to express “deep concern about the alarming increase in violent crime across our city.”

“D.C., is quickly becoming a national outlier in rising crime, and the trends are alarming.”
