  1. “Time keeps on slipping into the future.” (Steve Miller Band)

    “Time, like an ever rolling stream,
    Bears all its sons away;
    They fly, forgotten, as a dream
    Dies at the opening day.” (Isaac Watts)

    “It’s Friday. And you know what that means!” (Chas)

    It means that another week has come and gone, flying past like a super sonic jet.

    And it means more political cartoons

  2. Thanks, Peter, for the fab quotes and the funnies!

    We will soon feel shock when this fall like weather leaves us. It has been such a blessing.

    Time to dig into Exodus. I have been praying for new insights based on reading and study. Do you pray before Bible study? I am trying to fully establish that as a daily habit.

    after traveling alone for so long this was amazing

    we didn’t get to sit together but these are such seasoned travelers that it was fine

    I kept making faces at the youngest and winking

  4. I was just blessed to see a gulf fritillary butterfly flying all around the passionflower vine at the mailbox. This has not happened for a number of years. When homeschooling, we raised the caterpillars and released the butterflies. So thankful so see them here again.

  5. My youngest daughter has raised Monarch caterpillars and released them. She has done it also with many preschool classes. I recently saw a video of the release at her preschool. The delight on the children’s faces is always so fun to see.

    Off to play music outside. We have had rain today and it seems iffy. I can hear thunder right now. This is a car show with food and treats for the residents. They always seem to enjoy it. The group has played several years for it and play once and sometimes monthly. They are always well received.

  6. 92 degrees in this forest with howling winds… not a good combination! Front coming in and cooler temps by midnight with high humidity … snow would be a much welcomed sight right now!!⛄️🎄

    Janice I always ask the Lord to open my heart and mind to what He would have me soak in before I read His word. And most of all that my mind would not wander…I get so easily distracted sometimes!
