As much as I despise Stephen Miller’s work on immigration, I think he’s probably right about the conspiracy. And if there is enough actual evidence to prosecute in court, that should happen. But I very much don’t want to see some kind of show trial that just stirs public anger on both sides and resolves nothing. Follow the legal, usable evidence, and act accordingly.
I thought this was an interesting analysis from inside Israel. Apparently they have a lively Left -Right divide as we do. Though hopefully it is not as rancorous as ours.
Hmmm. Companies are “slashing jobs because of AI”? I thought Trump was supporting AI investments. Anyway, I’m pretty sure this is bogus. Microsoft cut thousands of tech jobs not long ago, and applied for h1b employees to replace them.
And the economy is definitely slowing a bit . Perhaps a global trade war wasn’t the very best way to kick off a new presidency in an economy already struggling with inflation…
That would be good news indeed, if true . Unfortunately this administration has proven that it likes to play fast and loose with the facts, so I’ll wait and see.
I can tell you that my company’s orders haven’t improved since the election. Furthermore there are companies announcing some layoffs. However we also saw companies announcing they are moving into the region or expanding—before the election. At this point it’s wait and see and pray for the best .
