We had the mostly peaceful protest last night on Buford Highway. An agreement was made that the protesters would leave by 9:30 which the organizers kept to (left at 9). A group of stragglers stayed and damaged three patrol cars. Six people got arrested. It was handled by the city of Brookhaven police rather than the county. I had forgotten how much territory falls into the city lines.
We went by a group of protesters at a local DNR location twice and I have yet to hear what they were protesting. Apparently, the DNR should be ashamed, but I don’t know why. It is always good to get some publicity and maybe they tried. It was out in the country on a highway. No one was on the road, however. I never even heard anything on social media. It was as peaceful as it could be, though.
