Good morning! We had a wonderful weekend with children and grandchildren. We watched one of the grands graduated high school and joined in the party a couple of days later. The weather could not have been better for the outside ceremony. The wind could have been less for the party. Don’t we all want perfect? Maybe a longing for paradise in us all.
Janice and cats: we have had a number of guests here in the past year and without exception they have commented that these are the friendliest cats they have ever met. I found that interesting. Apparently most cats don’t greet folks at the door, family or strangers. And apparently most cats don’t let everybody pick them up. The children have done a great job.
I went to a senior celebration at church last night for those graduating. Such a good time to connect and see the families. We had about a dozen and two of them told me that they knew my granddaughter since kindergarten
That is wonderful to hear about your cats, Mumsee. They do sound special. I fed my friend’s three cats for a week while my friends traveled and I only saw one of them briefly. They hid from the hand that fed them. 🙂
Jo, you said senior and I jumped to the over 50 crowd! It was nice of them to tell you they know your grand.
Miss Bosley had a good day yesterday but threw up first thing this morning. I guess it will be off and on for a while.
Farmed fish in general has been shown to not be healthier— lower Omega 3s— and they sometimes actually dye them to make them pink like wild fish. Though the health difference between the two is debatable depending on who you talk to. And is not actually good for the environment— it can cause issues when they escape into the wild population – because they have been modified genetically often.
This was the opinion of someone I asked, Janice. I don’t have a lot of experience with farmed fish myself.
I imagine there are many farms with differences. Also, each farm owner and worker and those who catch wild fish would be biased towards supporting their own livelihoods.
I looked out my kitchen window while washing dishes and saw two goats in my yard grazing. I tried to get a photo, but guys came running after them. They belong at the sheep/goat farm on the adjoining street. They went up the street and a bit later I saw them all racing back down the street toward the farm.
At first I thought I was looking at unleashed dogs, then did a double take, and realized they were goats. It does not take a lot to entertain me. That made my day!
How delightful Janice! Such a fun unexpected discovery!! 🐐
Husband told me to look at the camera footage from overnight. We had an antelope pass through the back of the property last night and that had never happened before! 😂
Fun. We once saw two little ears go by our front window, which has the front porch below it. When I looked, I saw a miniature goat! It took a bit of sleuthing, but we finally found the neighbor to whom it belonged.

Kathaleena, since we were talking about fish recently, I found this from Publix interesting. Any thoughts about this salmon?

Most excitement in a long time in our front yard!
