  4. DJ has been extra-busy with this being Fleet Week out there, and all the stories covering it.

    Being out there yesterday has left her a little sore today, so please pray for the energy and strength she needs as she goes out once again today. (Then someone else takes over for the next two days.)

    Also that she will get enough for a good story. The editors want a long one, and she’s not sure there’s enough there, on the part she is reporting on, for a long one.

  5. Janice, my dad is doing sort of well. He has already been out walking on the deck and he ate most of his breakfast. First time in a couple of months for eating anything besides pound cake and banana though he stopped them about a month ago.

    Restful nights? Not a thing here. He was up at least three times the last many nights. Last night he got tired of the bed so we moved him to his bedroom chair. He may have fallen out of it as I heard a thump and found him lying on his floor again. He was willing to get back into the bed.

  10. Thank you for the prayers Janice; as Kizzie mentioned, I’ve been underwater with work and before that had a stomach virus that had me literally not eating for several days.

    Work, busy. Tariffs.

    LA Fleet Week is ongoing (the 10th annual) and I’ve been up to my ears in that, but I believe my live coverage ended today (with other reporters taking it for the next 2 days). Exhausting, days of being on my feet, standing, walking, interviewing people, walking (did I say that already?), walking … well, every part of me seems to ache. Today out there I had to cover an Esports “thing” (what is Esports, I asked my editor) … Kinda know a little more about it now but not all that much … I wrote about it anyway ’cause I had to. Deadlines.

    Next Friday is my good (now almost oldest) friend’s husband’s funeral Mass so I will have that day off and it will be a long drive early in the morning, a long day beyond that.

    Just a very busy spring.

    And 2 dental “fix” procedures coming up. Not overly serious, in-office, but will run up a bill I’m not looking forward to and I’m not looking forward to it otherwise, either.

    Haven’t caught up here at all, will try to do that soon.

  11. OC and Biddy were married 115 years ago today.

    Stargazer gets married at 3:30 this afternoon.

    The weather is beautiful.

  12. Ah, prayers for Stargazer and his bride and the coming together of two families today. May it be a wonderful day of celebration.

    Prayer for those around the world and in nations now under attack, for courage and safety – and pray that the Prince of Peace will soon bring about that promised day when nations will learn war no more.

    Comfort those who mourn as our nation pauses tomorrow on Memorial Day to remember those who have lost lives in past battles.

  13. Our church youth group is providing collections in a special project for the people who have lost homes and loved ones in Ukraine, prayers for all those on the receiving end of those collections and deliveries through our church missionaries.

  14. Prayer for twenty three daughter. She says she cannot stay in her apartment because her boyfriend is there but won’t report him to the sheriff and say she wants him out. Somebody drove her to a nearby town but we do not know her plan.

  15. Well, daughter was whisked away by ambulance again, on her way to Boise. They called about two thirds of the way there, daughter was very agitated. Mike told them she had already used up her money for mental health care but they assured him it had already been arranged. They just called again so must have arrived.
