Good morning. We will be traveling to where the weather is supposed to be worse than here. We are trying to beat the worse of the weather that we have to travel through. At least we should get out of the smoke (I think) We will be babysitting our youngest two grands. The oldest should be home for some of the weekend and evenings. Fun and exhaustion. 🙂
Good morning, all. Another beautiful day here. Hospice team coming out today as dad has been readmitted after another twenty pound weight loss. Turns out, if you stop eating the ice cream and only eat the cake, you can lose a lot of weight quickly. I don’t advise it.
Good morning! That sounds like fun, Kathaleena! I think we have more stormy weather predicted here, too.
I have gotten out for more walks lately. With all the rain, the flowers in the neighborhood are in great abundance, more than I have ever seen.
I found out last night that it is a twelve minute walk to the bus stop which is the regular bus, not the disability bus which I have access to but have not yet chosen to utilize. With my disability card I can ride the regular bus for free. The disability bus that comes to the home is $4.00 per one-way trip. It is a bit tricky scheduling it, especially if you don’t know how long you will need to be somewhere ( like longer than expected waits at doc offices).
I’m not used to this hot weather yet. It’s 83 on the way to 90, and after a half hour of walking behind a self-propelled mower I got faint. So I’m cooling off or now, but leaving the rest of the yard for another day. It hasn’t rained, so there’s not much growth. If someone thinks I need to mow more, have at it!
I had a nice birthday yesterday. Met the guys for breakfast, played some Call of Duty, got a nap, and had a lovely dinner out with the love of my life, Cheryl. She makes everyday better.
I of course took pics, mostly food. I will share them soon.
I suggested my husband pick up the branches that came down last winter and mow when it was cool. We knew the hot weather was coming. He chose to do it all in the way too hot weather. He finally did have to take off his long-sleeved shirt even though he told me it would be the best thing for him to wear. Peter, could you not have mowed when it was cooler. 😉
Our drive was pleasant. The winds really picked up half-way through the drive. Tornado warnings for later. That doesn’t count the two tornadoes we will pick up from school.
A cold front moved through last night with crazy winds. Pretty outside but warmer inside.
I was blessed to visit with my precious friend who is struggling with Parkinson’s. Her husband ran some errands while we spent sweet sister time…God is good…
Home from my trip to the coast. I took Highway 20 which is very close and I even take it going to church.
On the way going and returning I passed just south of the smallest mountain range in the world. You can actually see it almost from my house. Anyone want to get out their maps and figure out what it is??

I just looked at yesterday’s thread and saw my multiple birthday wishes. I think I only clicked Comment once. Certainly not 19 times. Weird.
Hope this doesn’t post 19 times!

It’s nice temp wise here, mid 70s.
But rain, rain, rain, as far as the eye can see. Like rain forest rain. 8 of the last 10 days.
So no fishin’…… 😪

I think Kevin set the new standard for happy birthday wishes yesterday. 😊
The rest of you should take notes. 📝

But now I cannot claim success as it did not let me sign in.
