  1. Good morning! We are cool at 52° this morning. The yo-yo weather keeps doing its thing.

The concert I attended yesterday was at First Baptist of Atlanta (whete Dr. Charles Stanley pastored until he died). Because it was May 4th, the orchestra did a lot of Star Wars music. They also had a new trumpet player from Columbia tell his testimony and then they played a rousing Columbian national piece. They did some marches, including the Star Wars march. They did a few hymns and had a really good gospel presentation. It was a good outreach to those who perhaps had never been to a church before.

  2. still recovering from the weekend. I was in charge of another reception at a memorial service. So many things didn’t go as planned but then to watch God take care of every detail was amazing. I am exhausted after being on my feet for so long

a deacon did an excellent job weedeating my property. Went outside the lines to bless the neighbors

it was yard sale weekend here. I went to the one on my street to meet the neighbors. Found a perfect dresser. Just what I needed

  3. oh, I also found another property corner that was ten feet past where I thought it was. Wondered why the deacon, who was in my high school class , cleared that corner

  4. I look forward to Peter’s photos and to Kathaleena’s.

That would be a surprise about the property line, Jo. It made me think of the stink my neighbor made about the underground cable for our TV service that went on what was presumed to be between our yards could have actually been on our property line. Who knows without a survey that is accurate?

  5. Jo – Over the years, you have shared many, many times of how God has met your needs in various ways, and that has been a great encouragement to me.

I am currently in a situation with some “moving parts,” so to speak, and a looming deadline for some important things to be taken care of or I will lose my house. Although God has led me in a good direction, to people who can help, things are moving s-o s-l-o-w-l-y, it can be nerve-wracking!

But I keep reminding myself that God knows exactly what I need and when it all needs to be finished, and although He is not always early, He is never late.

(I am also keeping in mind that keeping the house – even only for the couple of years until I can get into the senior living apartment – may not be God’s will for me after all, and if this all falls apart, He has another plan for me.)

  6. Good thinking, Kizzie. He has a plan and it is not always the same as ours. His is usually better.

I got some things done today. Probably need to take some advil! I moved the new dresser into the downstairs bedroom. I was smart as I first moved just the drawers to make it lighter. Then I dragged it in the garage and put it on a rug to drag it in the house. The old dresser just didn’t fit. It is an antique though. So I dragged it on the rug but left it in the hallway until someone can help me move it out.

Even did some weeding and filled the yard waste can up again. Boy it was hard to drag that up the hill, but just halfway, where I park it.
