Prayers for the USA to show signs of a spiritual reawakening, a renewal or a rebirth to commitment to seek and follow Jesus whole-heartedly as true disciples. Prayer that idol worship would be dropped whether it is based on politics, celebrity, sports, hobbies, materialism or whatever engages to take minds off of Jesus. May Jesus become the preeminent focus and guide for our direction as a light to help other nations. The other nations need Jesus more than they need our dollars.
The pastor we had for many years used to organize the National Day of Prayer. It managed to go for a few years after he left but must be no more. We heard nothing about it at church either. Sad.

Today is the National Day of Prayer. I did not even realize it before I saw it on Facebook.
