Kathaleena, I never heard that detail. Lots of possibilities. I may ask him one day, he is a neighbor. He hired son after and though he had lost other jobs for things like rolling the water truck. He really believed in our children and wanted to give him a chance. Son did end up taking the daughter to prom.
Thanks for the Birthday wishes for Art. I went to lunch with my friend after she took me to my eye test appt. After lunch we shopped at Sprouts. I brought home an apple chicken sausage biscuit and a no sugar apple pie for Art’s birthday treat. I also had two cards for him. A low key birthday but better than the alternative.
Strange day, my Jeep that was parked out front at the curb was struck by a Chevy Silverado. Not as bad as it sounds, damage wise, from what I can tell anyway, but a strange story …

I sent AJ a photo late yesterday of the Birthday Tree which is in full bloom today. It is really dwarfed by our neighbor’s Bradford pear tree.
