Praising God for what he’s doing with Mumsee’s son. I really appreciate the professional helpers in our lives (medical and others), but I love it when they tell you how things are going to be and then God decides differently. It can be a great encouragement for them too.
We are all progressing fairly well here. Husband is getting a little better daily and his fever seems to be all gone. He is still very tired though. Dad has been transferred to a very good short term rehab facility for at least a few more days. He’s gaining strength daily and will probably come home some time next week. Hopefully by then husband is full strength. He has been more worn down by his duties as a caregiver than I realized. I’ll probably take an fmla intermittent leave from work which means I can take off any day that I’m needed at home. That means I will be balancing physical and financial needs.
Art’s diagnosis from the ortho doc is that he had a particularly strong flare up of arthritis. He will rest on pain meds for several days and then let it wear off. He can get an injection if pain is still there after Monday.
All of his appointments at the office have been rescheduled. People are not used to him being unavailable. Pray that his clients won’t be having anxiety attacks over his absence.
We pulled all our statements together just today. We still need to make an appointment with the tax preparer. He doesn’t work every weekday, since he is actually retired. We usually just leave everything at the office, but I have some questions this year. Honestly, taxes are so complicated now. I so appreciate those who have the skill and education to do them.
A couple of weeks ago, the assisted living place was full of tax preparer volunteers and those getting their taxes done. What a blessing for those helped.
I pray your husband will be feeling better soon, Janice.
Thank you for the prayers for him and his clients. It would be good to pray for all preparers as they are almost all in an aged group at this point. The tax preparer conferences we attended had mostly gray-haired overweight men and women. At least they had not torn out their hair in frustration.

I need to do my taxes. I keep saying that, don’t I? I think I’m in denial.
Glad all is coming along with recoveries, Debra, and with Art’s knee.

I am sitting here working on my taxes, guess that that is a matter for prayer.

Taxes? What’s the hurry. It’s not even April yet. 🙂
