  1. I’ve had another productive day with Bro taking Art to the doc, then going with him to get air in my tires, a car wash, and grocery shopping. Trying to get car in shape for Art since it is easier to get in and out of than the smaller Civic. Now for new tires and maintenance.

  2. First we went for free air at Quik Trip. Misnomer. He tried and tried saying it was so slow and finally said he thought it was only letting air out. Then we ended up at what he called a Mexican tire shop. It was jam packed with workers and customers. We had a hard time getting in and I wondered if we would ever get out. I also wondered if they were dealing in drugs or other stuff. We got blocked in, the only white folks around. Seriously, I was afraid we’d not get out. I would have NEVER gone there on my own. Bro said he’d not recommend going back there.

We had to back out in tight spaces with someone reaching in the car and moving the steering wheel with us not knowing if the “helper” was trustworthy. Nightmare maker scenario. Well, it would be a good scene for a suspense novel. I paid five dollars for that adventure. All’s well that ends well.

This is the cost of getting help from Bro. Not always going along with when I suggest going to Jiffy Lube where I had been before and would have felt safe. Macho man gotta do things his way when he is in the driver’s seat.

  3. Sometimes people are merely caught up in concentrating on their own business and don’t even realize when they have inconvenienced someone else.

I remember a particular time when I kind of laughed at Hubby (in an affectionate way, not disrespectfully) for doing something in a store that he was always complaining about other people doing. He didn’t even realize he was doing it! 😀

(I think it had to do with how he had positioned the cart in relation to where he was standing.)

  4. Oh, Nancy Jill, I am so glad that you got all three. They really do read as one. Sorry to tell you, but be prepared to cry.

The trilogy is just wonderful. What a great writer and such strong faith.

  5. Spent a good part of my day dog-sitting Nico from next door — he and Abby wore each other out rough-housing, tearing back and forth through the backyard, each chasing the other, wrestling on their hind legs and rolling around like wild wolves with some growls to the point where I had to verbally break it up a couple times, afraid it was getting to that point where it could tip over into a fight.

They did finally wear themselves (and me) out, pretty much.
