  1. Beautiful sunshine day here. Husband and young folk are off to the usual. Dad is sleeping in his chair and I am taking a break from Deuteronomy.

  2. I’m in Leviticus. (spell check wanted that to say I’m in Levi’s). But also taking a break, had the first half of a deep (dental) cleaning on Monday, lots of fun and expen$ive to boot; working the rest of the week as usual.

We’re getting the first of some rain today and tomorrow, with more expected next week. We need it, we’ve had hardly any rain this fall/winter at all.

  3. I’ve just been reading about the spies coming out of Israel with their “mixed” report. I did not realize until just now that the Lord’s infamous comment on the sins of the father falling to the third and fourth generation comes out of His reaction to the people becoming fearful.

We’ve been discussing the concept during lunch. I’ve also been convicted about grumbling.

Curious how, in my case, 53 years of reading the Bible and I missed some of the finer points. Sigh.

  4. I think, Michelle, that it has to do with the “Living Word of God.” He opens new aspects of His word to us as He sees we have need for ourselves or to share with others.

There is refreshment in that moment when we think, “How did I not see this before?”

  5. I saw a cute reel on social this morning from Lisa Harper, a Christian speaker who addresses large audiences of women. I almost said large women audiences 🙂

She’d gotten dressed early without turning on the light. After she was back in the room after speaking she asked her roommate if her lips had looked funny when she spoke. She roommate said that, yes, they had looked funny.

As it turned out, she thought she had been applying lipstick but by accident had applied undereye concealer. Maybe that will be the next big thing! I remember when those pale frosty lipsticks were in style in high school.
