  1. Our pastor is still not awake and is still on a ventilator and dialysis machine. He is doing better. The doctors were not confident he would make it at all, but God had another idea. We are still praying for him and I know the family would appreciate all your prayers.

Also pray for wisdom for our very small congregation. Its continued existence has been in question for a while now. Also, we have been praying about staying or going, and if the latter, where to go? So, I would appreciate prayer about that, also.

  2. You know, too, what is best for the pastor and his family. Please restore him to functional life if at all possible, so he can continue to do Your purposes in the land of the living.

Please give wisdom and new knowledge of avenues to pursue for worship to K and R. Please do a divine supernatural work to help them find their way to where You want them to worship You and fellowship with others and serve as Your disciples.

I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

(The first post would allow me to post no farther than the one paragraph.)

  3. My husband has been sick for two months now. First he had what seemed to be the flu, then a couple of healthy days, then a sinus infection. He went on an antibiotic and that completely drained his energy but seemed to get rid of the infection, and after getting off it two or three days ago he has regained a bit of strength. An hour ago he told me he has a “scratchy” throat, and he lay down on the couch. He has missed church eight weeks in a row, except he went for an evening business meeting that elders were concerned about making the 50% quorum, and friends told me he looked awful.

We’re both physically and emotionally weary, and would appreciate prayer.

  4. We have a lot of friends around the country struggling with their churches–small and large.

The enemy is after them all.

We left our church last year because of differences over prayer. It was heartbreaking for me to leave the Bible study I taught for 22 years.

The church as a whole is falling apart, members fleeing, people calling us about what to do, and “all” we can offer is prayer.

We’ve probably had a half-dozen come to us for individual prayer at our home.

We spent most of last year grieving–and I think that’s why God had us traveling so much (we were gone 80 days last year. In the fall, I was gone for 7 out of 9 weekends).

I personally prefer a liturgical church–that’s the type of worship service in which I feel closer to God–but there doesn’t seem to be one out here that holds to the truth of Scripture.

So, we’re in a non-denom and we wait for what will happen next. 🙂

  5. I think my current church is going through a shaking period, too. Not from division within, but outside attacks have done damage. Trying to reestablish footing takes some time. Prayers for all our churches and potential churches and pastors. May they all be faithful to God.
