  1. I guess the Pope and border czar, Tom Homan are spatting this morning. I think the Catholic church has done a lot of good and held the line in many social battles from abortion to gay marriage and adoption. But more recently, the pope has been critical of Trump’s process in securing the border. The catholic church has also been critical of JD Vance. Homan’s response was to tell the pope to fix the Catholic Church and let us fix the border here. Both Vance and Homan are catholic, which is a little interesting to me as I have often wondered about the average Catholic’s attitude toward the various popes and the office of pope in general.

  2. The political enemies of the USA are going crazy and dying on the USAID hill b/c it’s the Deep State’s bank account. Their great personal financial gains have been funded by USAID (and taxpayers) to censor us and engage in regime change and anti-American activities, and now it’s about to dry up! The money trail is very real, and DOGE is doing a great job.

  3. “I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country… corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

  4. “Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of today.”

  5. Not everything USAID has done is bad. Some of the real humanitarian aid is good, but it needs to be run well and for a good purpose. From all I’m reading, this agency, like so many others, has been largely you unaccountable to any meaningful oversight. That has to stop.

  6. Things are heating up in Washington. In a move that screams desperation, Democratic Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) declared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Democrats are ready to shut down the federal government over President Trump’s recent actions. The party that claims to be the “adults in the room” is throwing a temper tantrum because Trump is doing what he promised: draining the swamp.

  7. “This is a demolition plan for the Department of Education: (1) spin off the student loan portfolio as a separate entity; (2) block-grant K-12 money directly to states; (3) shut down the department’s centers of ideological production. Then salt the Earth.”
