Goodorning from cold Atlanta where it feels like 6° but is 18°.
I choose to stay inside today. I have been refolding the mail out letters that were printed and folded by Office Depot. Whoever set it up folded the letters so that when opened you see the ending of the letter first rather than the heading. He got a few extra letters so that means refolding 600 altogether. The world is full of such time wasters that if jobs were done properly, our GNP could go up by quite a bit.
I have been singing the Doxology while I do the chores. Then I can stuff and seal.
I only have one old moisten and seal envelopes thingamajig, a little tube that you fill with water with a small sponge on the end to swipe across the gummed part of the envelope. I was trying to buy more, and Amazon had them available for delivery between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. today if I bought $25 worth of eligible merchandise. I shopped and found enough, but then they changed the time frame to overnight. I cancelled the order. I will try to improvise something. Disappointed in Amazon’s bait and switch on the delivery time.
It’s sunny here but still a bit cool (though it is January and La Niña calls for colder – but drier – weather on our lower California coastline).
We had to work today – I had to follow up on how safe the water is to drink (still not safe in the worst fire areas). Oceans also are deemed contaminated (to the north of us, so far).
I’ll walk Abby in a couple hours. It’s her daily highlight.
Janice, when I would mail out the camper letters (1000) or donor letters (500) I would use a glue stick to close the envelopes. So much easier.
Very cold here but tomorrow is supposed to be close to freezing, so hopefully the roads can be salted and the ice gone before the next deep freeze hits.

thanks Janice
I just sang the doxology, the first words out of my mouth today. That is so encouraging
then remembering that I will end my day the same way as tonight is our church board meeting and we always end with the doxology.
May God bless this day

Reading some of your temps yesterday and this morning makes me think our -1F seem balmy. It’s up to 20 now and sunny.

twenty four here, don’t think night got down much below twenty. But my dad got his morning walk in as usual!

We are at 30° with sun and no wind. I might decide to bundle up for a walk after all.
