  1. We had only daughters. Each of those daughters had at least one son. They all wondered how any boy survived until adulthood. That just came to mind when I heard about Kizzie’s grandson’s latest mishap. Prayers for all.

  5. They say there’s a special place in heaven for the mother of three boys . . . and “every boy needs a father to protect him from his (overprotecting) mother.”

    There’s a reason God gave us both. Society doesn’t fare as well when boys are not allowed to grow into men by learning when it makes sense to take risk and when it does not.

    Of course, it can drive women crazy–but that’s not always a bad thing, is it?

  8. Michelle – With Boy, those things are reversed. Nightingale wants him to be a boy and do boy things. X is the one who is overprotective. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a big deal out of her allowing Boy to ride his bike into town.
