Today the Harris/Obama rally will be only 8 minutes away from my church! We live 9 minutes the other way from the church. Bruce Springstein will do the concert. It’s in the small/big town of Clarkston. Son went to kindergarten in a church in that area.
We live deep in the state of Georgia 🙂 So close yet so far away from fame.
I pray it will be safe and fun for all as last night’s rally appeared to be for all attending.
Grabbed lunch out today with a former co-worker I haven’t seen in person since 2019 when life took her into the wilds of Arizona to care for her ailing mom, then the pandemic hit.
Good to catch up, we have semi-regularly texted all this time; her boyfriend still works for the paper as a page designer.
No labor deal yet, so union has called for a strike to begin at 1 minute after midnight Nov. 4, the day before the election. But both sides apparently are still talking, so that’s good.
Our editors are in a tough position, they have nothing to do with this situation created by our NY hedge fund owners – and all of them are completely sympathetic with our plight (no raises since 2008). But if we walk on Nov. 4, they’ll be left to try to hold it all together through the election.
Abby is still not getting into the car (tried again today), but because I’m taking some vacation days I was able to walk her a little earlier than usual this evening, before it got dark.
Good morning! Exciting days in Georgia!

Good morning, all. A beautiful day here, or I assume it will be when day arrives. Thirty six out this morning, expecting to surge to forty eight.

We are suppose to break record highs in the next few days. We are back to early summer.
