  1. A couple of my daughters worked at McD’s and it would not be difficult to substantiate. It wouldn’t be difficult to find their former supervisors or the owner of the franchise. It would not be difficult to find people who worked with them. After all, every shift has numerous employees. I would think that any reporter who really wanted to find out, would be able to do so. I would also think that the campaign should be able to bring forth proof. It is bizarre, IMO. There’s a lot out there that is bizarre these days, though.

It seems if Republicans are for Trump, it must be because of anti-intellectualism according to some. Just what I would expect from the elites.

I am bright enough to know why some support Harris and why some support Trump and even why some want to bail from both (although, no doubt, one or the other will be elected). I don’t need to call them anti-intellectual. We do have a whole lot of people who are swayed by sound bites and by professors, for that matter. So goes the battle.

  2. Good morning! I saw that McDonald’s now has an e coli problem with their quarter pounders. We know where to place fault! It’s weird, isn’t it?

Good morning, despite the politics! It is a day the Lord has made and I go outside before light and praise Him for the stars I see and so much more. I am out there before the birds sing glory to Him.

  3. A cool crisp morning to start this day!

I’m off to the dentist in a bit to have a check up on this implant. It may be failing due to bone loss and I am hoping for the best! Why oh why oh why!!?

  4. Oh, the excitement of knowing a celebrity!

My brother sent me an article about an artist who painted scenes from our childhood waterfront town. (Our parents owned one of his paintings of Beacon Street which my brother now has).

Writte in 2017 or so, it was thrilling to write back and say, “Hey! I know the writer!”

Sorry, DJ, my brother wasn’t impressed . . . but he liked the article, thanks! 🙂

  5. Still getting very dry weather here, cold mornings and nights, warm days in the mid-70s; but it looks like temps will head down in another day or two and our more normal marine layer weather will be back.

It’s getting dark way early now, and the time hasn’t even changed yet; I will need to adjust the dog walking hour.

I used to walk dogs at night but have gotten used to late in the day/dusk now and kind of prefer it. Work day goes until 6 p.m., though. Way long ago I used to walk dogs in the morning before leaving for work (then again at night after getting home, I think), but I’ve been out of that routine for a lot of years – and I am not a morning person naturally, less so nowadays.

  6. Michelle, funny – not recalling the story but I prefer to be in the background.

I remember after I’d been working with the physical therapist on the knee for a couple months already (hoping to avoid any surgery), said to me one day “hey, the owner here says you’re a celebrity and you’re famous in town.” I was pretty much mortified.

  7. Still mulling over the cat but rescue friends now are sending me daily emails about “oh,” there’s this cat that desperately needs a home we have now, can send videos …

I liked the one I saw Saturday at the adoption mobile event but told them not ready for an immediate adoption (as in overnight or in just a couple days). With a dog in the home, the process is complicated and requires isolation (in the spare room) for up to 3 weeks, sharing “scents” then slowly and carefully loosening the boundaries to make sure she knows her home AND somewhat can get acclimated to her outdoor area in the back … It’s rather complicated and time consuming so until I’m ready for that … (Still remembering all of that w/Annie when I brought her home w/2 curious and excitable border collies in the home).

I also wonder about taking on the added pet generally at my stage in life, but I really would love another cat and they’re so much easier than dogs so (eventually, once the initial time is over) it shouldn’t be a major change around here in terms of pressure on me, assuming all goes well. Abby loved Annie and is so sweet, but I need a self-assured cat also who’s been exposed to dogs in positive ways if possible. But once acclimated to a new home, cats are pretty self-sufficient and don’t need the intense attention dogs do.

So it’s a work / plan in progress for now.

  8. I found what seems to be a good Bible verse memory App: Versify

I just used it for the first time. I like the fill in the blanks approach to learning, and it has another challenge, to type the first letter of each word in the verse and then the word appears. It has only a few translations, but more are being added. I started with Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) which I had already memorized.

  9. In BSF this week we were looking at the message to the churches at Philadelphia and Laodicea. What a difference. One was commended while the other Jesus was ready to spit out of His mouth

So my friend Clara came over last night to clean. I have been looking for someone for two years. Last Saturday she cleaned the downstairs bathroom that gd had been using while I cleaned the bedroom. That was a gift but this time I paid her. I had her begin with getting the Beam vacuum and vacuuming the furnace outlets which were filled with trash. Then she cleaned the other two bathrooms along with other areas. So nice. I have friends coming to spend two nights on their way back to PNG this weekend.

    Blessed. Jo
