Praying for safety at all the major events scheduled over Labor Day weekend, and for all the travelers using whatever mode to get to destinations. Thanking God for the freedom and health of people who can enjoy all these events. Praying against crime, terror threats, spread of virus germs, and human trafficking that usually happens around big gatherings of people (and also other vices like gambling, drugs, etc.) Prayers for safety of all those extra security officers hired for such events. We’ve already had too many deaths lately of law enforcement officers. Please, Lord, keep all the people safe from any type of harm planned or unplanned here in Atlanta and all around the nation and world.
We just had a local incident where 8 people were injured. A 53 yr. old died. A teen had burns and was life flighted. Someone used fuel to start (or restart) a fire. Prayers for them. Beware of doing this.
My heart has been burdened more than usual lately for my Chickadee. She has not been replying to my texts, and the last reply, on August 4th, was merely some hearts. (The texts of only hearts are usually fine to me now and then, but not so much now when she is otherwise uncommunicative.)
(BTW, I am not inundating her with texts, just trying to keep in contact with brief, friendly texts. In fact, I have felt guilty for letting ten days go by between texts a couple of times, rather than the usual weekly text I try to send.)
It may only be my overactive imagination, but I am concerned that she may be in some kind of mental/emotional crisis, or in one of her deeper depressions (which can be a crisis in itself).
