very touching on the third anniversary. And it says what I have been saying: he goes to those things because he cares about the people, often interacting with them after the ceremony, where he not once looks at his watch.
Mumsee, it is very touching to see and know how he honors the fallen. I guess I have a heart and deep feelings about such since my dad was retired military and I also worked in a support capacity, in accounting, for the state patrol. People who don’t have that kind of background may be unable to understand the depth of such feelings.
Interestingly, Harris’ mom was a world-renowned scientist.
~ “Gopalan’s breast cancer research was notably influential. Her work “sparked many advances regarding the role of progesterone and its cellular receptor in breast biology and cancer,” said Breast Cancer Action’s obituary. “The world of women affected by breast cancer changed for the better because of [Gopalan’s] presence in it.” ~
A podcast with Ramaswamy who I did not like as a candidate, but he is very well informed and makes good points on this podcast. You can go past the opening to get to his part.
Trump’s mother Mary Anne was an immigrant from Scotland who worked as a domestic servant and nanny (worthy professions) before meeting and marrying Fred Trump, Sr., who was already established in his business as a property developer and builder. After their marriage, she was a housewife, but would “sometimes helped with her husband’s real estate business, such as collecting coins from laundry machines in family-owned apartment buildings.” (per Wikipedia) She was also active in volunteer work.
There was one blip that some might make a big deal about, but wasn’t that big a deal, in that she and her husband listed her on the 1940 census as a naturalized citizen, but she did not become one until 1942.
I may have missed something on Wikipedia, but all I saw was that she was raised on a farm, was a homemaker and after the death of her husband she lived on social security survivor benefits. I’m sure there is more somewhere, but that is all I saw. His dad was a chain-smoker and died from lung cancer so that was sad to read. I’m sure the wife got worn out from caring for him while watching his demise.
Tulsi Gabbord endorses Trump. I think she likes that Trump is not part of the war machine.
“I mean what I say when I share with you that I know that President Trump understands the grave responsibility that a President and Commander-in-Chief bears for every single one of our lives,” Gabbard added. “Whether you’re a soldier, you’re an Airmen, a Marine, sailor, or a Coastie, he keeps us in his heart in the decisions that he makes. We saw this through his first term in the presidency, when he not only didn’t start any new wars, he took action to de-escalate and prevent wars.”
“He exercised the courage that we expect from our Commander-in-Chief in exhausting all measures of diplomacy, having the courage to meet with adversaries, dictators, allies, and partners alike in the pursuit of peace, seeing war as a last resort,” Gabbard added. “The truth is as we head towards our decision as a country in November, the same can not be said about Kamala Harris. In fact, the opposite is true….”
Notice how a totally reseasonable idea is suddenly the extremist angle.

“It’s the 3rd anniversary of 13 American service members dying during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Biden is currently at the beach.
Kamala has nothing on her schedule.
President Trump is at Arlington Cemetery laying a wreath for all 13 of them.”

“This clip is wild. During the riots of 2020, Kamala was on The View talking about defunding the police.
Hostin gets the cue to shut Kamala up so she jumps in and answers the question for her.
Then Hostin asks Kamala if Biden should make a DEI pick for VP. “

Good question.
Biden has been at the WH 6 out of the last 34 days, and is now on a 9 day vacation in Delaware.
So who is running the country?
Asking for some friends….

I hate to have to say this, but please folks, don’t believe these posts on X and take them at face value. Some may be accurate, but many are not.

Glad to hear about the good that Harris’ mom did. Now to counter balance, what did Trump’s mom do that was good?
