We are going to have way too hot and humid. The music group plays at an old, small-town hall with no air conditioning (at least none the last time we were there). I will remind myself how cool it will be soon.
We have had a lovely touch of fall in the air for the last few days, but temps are going up some for a while. At this point, no too-hot-and-humid days are showing up in the weather forecast, but I suspect we may get a few before the real fall weather begins.
This morning, I swept some leaves off the back porch. That part of fall always starts in late summer. 🙂
Going to see the local minor league baseball team play tonight with my brother and a bunch of folks from my church. Perfect weather too, mid 70s and sunny.
I feel happy when I go outside in this weather. I just took a cake out of the oven. It’s made with the pulp from the carrot juicer. I put nutmeg and other spices in it so it smells a lot like pumpkin spice cake.
I told my dog walking friend about the lady who had the Bible taken from her nursing home room. She told me of someone she knew from way back whose dentures were stolen and that person then got someone else’s dentures and had them in her mouth. Tragic! Hopefully I will never be in that situation. It’s a good reason to have implants rather than dentures!
Cool here too. I went to two soccer games and at the first we were getting rained on. What a delight. It will get back up to 90 this week but to have a cool day is wonderful.
I finally got reservations for four days at Lake Tahoe beginning on Monday. It is at a Presbyterian conference grounds, Zephyr Point. I am looking forward to getting away and this was sorta cheap for a whole cabin. One friend is considering joining me as the cabin has four beds.
In my friend Carol’s experience, things she thought were stolen (frequently her Bibles) would eventually turn up as having been misplaced (by her); but I also know things get stolen in those facilities.
We’ve had (so far) a fairly mild summer again. Too warm for me, but none of those “heat dome” events that are so miserable.
In conjunction with DJ’s misleading site which she addressed on the prayer site. My eating has been out of control lately. As I was saying good night to God, I realized (and repented) I had not spoken with Him since morning quiet time other than a quick prayer here and there. What happened to my daily, hourly, minute by minute interaction with Him???? Pushed aside for more important thoughts? Not possible! Time to get back to taking every thought captive. When that is in place, all other things pale in importance and life is easier. May be more complications but easier to manage.
Good morning, all. A beautiful day here, whatever the weather will be.
no shower this morning. Sometime in the night my dad turned on his hot water faucet and drained the hot water heater.

Good morning! It started out at 64° and will go up between 85° to 87°. So happy with the lower humidity hanging out here.
I drank some elderberry tea this a.m. it seems to have helped a touch of stuffy nose.

Unbelievable we have the heat on in August! Fifty six out and expected seventy but should dip down into the forties the next few days.

Good morning, all. A beautiful cloudy and cool morning here. Husband returns today. Dressed and ready for church.
We had a family reunion or two at Tahoe. Very pretty, but a bit more crowded than I am used to.

Looking forward to fall.
