it is so nice to cool off in the pool in the evening. On Saturday something was going on as there was an evil presence at the pool. Yesterday was ok

  2. Thanks for the anniversary greetings. One couple danced at the last place my husband’s group performed at. They have been dancing for 70 years. The husband is 86 and his wife a year younger. The number of years startle me. Someone joked about my husband playing music for 70 years. We laughed, but later I did some math and realized that wasn’t far from the truth! Oh, how the years fly!

  3. Q of the D—I was watching The Great American Recipe Challenge on PBS recently. One of the contestants put potato cubes on his salad made with greens. I had never heard of anyone doing that. I am wondering if any of you do that. Is there any other unusual ingredients people in your culture or area may use? This was not a potato salad, which certainly does vary. I love all kinds of things on a salad of greens, but usually that is limited to fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, cheese or a meat such as chicken. Cubed potatoes? Nope.

  4. Happy Anniversary, Kathaleena and Ralph! The years of bliss are flying by!

I had an early eye exam. I was prepped to get a shot in my eye. I told Art I was praying not to get a shot in my eye. The doc looked at the pictures of my eyes and said what was suggestive previously of the need for the shot had cleared up so no shot! On top of that, I had told Art I dreaded getting my eyes dilated. As it turned out, I did not even get that. I was set up for my next appointment in six months.

Unfortunately this doctor is retiring after 42 years of practice so I will see his young replacement who has great credentials.

I was so happy that when Art took me to the bank and no one was in the big main room while the lady went in a back room to process my payment that I began dancing in the empty main room to the nice rock music playing. The lady came out and I told her I was dancing and she smiled. When I got to the car and told Art what I did, he said he’d looked in through the glass door and noticed someone was dancing in there and when he looked more closely he saw it was Janice. Ha! Ha!

I was celebrating for Kathaleena and Ralph!😃 And I did not care if I got recorded on the security camera😃

  5. It’s Monday and a very blessed Anniversay to you Kathaleena and Ralph!! ❣️

Janice you are never too old to dance!! 💃 Thankful for an easier eye appointment for you!!

Never have I put potatoes on a salad. But I have started chopping dill pickles to sprinkle on top of my butter lettuce salad. I had lunch at a new place with a friend and they had put dill pickle on top of my salad and I loved it!

  6. Happy Anniversary, Kathaleena and Ralph!

No, I have never had potato cubes on my salad. Are they supposed to be cooked or raw?

One thing I have done in summer is to thaw a bag of frozen broccoli or spinach and add some to the top of a salad.

  7. I do not generally eat salad but I prefer mine with green and black olives and mustard.

I do enjoy cooked dandelions with a few other weeds and rhubarb and egg.

  8. The person making the salad fried the potato if I remember correctly.

I found it interesting to hear this from someone: the company laid this person off and is helping those laid off to find new jobs. They help with resumes. Since the person laid off has hired many people himself and knew a lot about resumes, he thought he should be able to do that fairly easily. It turns out that there are certain words to use to get beyond the AI that companies use! Who knew?

  9. Happy anniversary, Kathleena!

Here in NM we somehow add green and/or red chile or jalapenos to almost any food.

Evil presence in the pool, I recently had an experience along those lines while I was praying for someone. Another person was in the room with us and saw the same thing. Not fun, and so thankful that I am covered by the blood of Jesus.
