  1. I understand how sad (and angry) that must make you, Jo. It is sad. There is so much that is unfair and sad in this fallen world and those who should be closest to us are often the cause, since they mean the most to us. Praying God will lead you to a good place in your head and heart.

The mosquitoes are taking over our world. That is not surprising with all the rain we have gotten. We had a lot of fluff from the popple trees. I am not looking forward to the pine pollen. Nevertheless, it is wonderful to have summer again. The beauty of the apple tree blossoms is beyond anything I have seen in past years.

  2. Good morning, all. Another beautiful sunny day here. Temps are supposed to go up into the sixties and even seventies in coming days. We enjoy sitting out on the deck, enjoying the warmth while watching the grass grow and the young man mow.

  3. Speaking of cats: did I mention our new cat? I had told eighth son to be on the lookout for a cat or two. He brought a nice friendly tortoiseshell. A female of course. I call her Pretty kitty and she comes to that name. Husband calls her Camo Cat and I told him he needs to train her to that name.

Son located her through a friend. Friend’s girlfriend’s parents have been feeding cats at a drug house. The tenants had not paid rent in a couple of years so got booted. They left behind probably twenty or so feral and tame cats. Pretty kitty just finished with a litter of kittens so it was a good time to move her and put her to work mousing.

  4. Good morning! I told Art this morning that our world is ripe for explosions. After he left for work there was a giant BOOM! The transformer must have fried another squirrel. I went in search of it but did not find it. We have a tall cedar by the pole so it is probably dangling in its branches. I reported the outage. Expect power by 12:30.

I had tossed out an apple core for the sqirrels this morning. I hope that sqirrel had it before going to its execution.

  5. Wait. Jo just told Janice that she had ordered an air fryer. Janice had just fried a squirrel on a transformer. Is Jo suggesting Janice use an air fryer instead? The things you people discuss….

  6. Speaking of the power situation, i went out there and saw Georgia Power has taken down a large piece of the cedar tree. Another day, another mess for me to clean up. It all needs to be cut into 4 ft. lengths. And I had planned on indoor work ioday. I planted that tree years ago to block my view of the telephone pole. I preferred looking out at a tree while I washed dishes. Consequences!😒

I hope you enjoy that air fryer, Jo! It’s a fine alternative to climbing a telephone pole to fry a squirrel!😀

  7. I just received my new book reader device. The first they sent was never received. I opened up the box and found the top page of instructions is a totally white page in Braille (sp?). They previously sent two little cassette like discs with several books on each. Now to locate those!

  8. I finally just access the school calendar for information. I know two are graduating from elementary and middle school next week. The calendar tells me when and I don’t have to ask another time for more information. I can show up for that.

Some things though, involving tickets, I have to rely on my informant.

Kids don’t always know a date, but they do know if they’re participating in something.

I volunteer to drive a lot, and that helps–it gives me time with the kids, helps the family, and is the least I can do in these way too busy times.

They’re always grateful to slot one of us into the carpool.
