Here we go again. The judge ruled son out law has the children, supervised until completing the anger management course, from five pm Friday to five pm Sunday every other week. Supervised by husband or the facility. The facility is not open after five or weekends, though arrangements can be made.
son wanted to get a foot in the door and introduce his children to the experience so arranged to have them from two to four at the facility and the rest of the weekend here. She then fired husband as supervisor (don’t think she has the authority to counter the judge’s order on her own) and told son it was either the facility or here, not both (judges order does not say that).
Thursday she called husband to say she had a medical emergency while driving from North Dakota, in Butte, Montana, but somebody else would deliver the trailer.
Next day, as we were driving out, we saw other daughter, parking our trailer at the end of the driveway. We stopped and visited, she said her sister was stabilized and she had the two and her daughter (who lived here her first eighteen months plus her seven months in utero) and allowed us to visit. They were very excited to see daddy.
son drove down from Spokane where he was closing out the apartment from his mom’s death, to visit his children. The supervisor ended the visit after forty minutes because he noticed both children were apparently sick and they have a no sick children visits policy. Supervisor phoned daughter, told her to pick them up and let her know she had broken the rules previously discussed. He also told son he clearly did not need supervised visits and he would be writing this up and informing the court.
And so, after thirteen hours of riding in a truck, their longed for forty eight hour visit was cut to less than one. And thirteen hours back to North Dakota. I do not see this as best interest of the children.
It is such a heartbreaking story. I am glad it will be written up so perhaps arrangements can be revised. Prayer is all we’ve got as a weapon in this battle. May God’s goodness and blessings flow into the lives of these children and SIL. May salvation in Jesus for daughter repair the brokeness that has allowed such evil to persist in these lives.
