  1. “The Special Counsel’s finding that President Biden ‘willfully retained and disclosed classified materials’ and engaged in practices that ‘present serious risks to national security’ is deeply disturbing.

Not only does it demonstrate the President’s recklessness, but exposes a two-tiered system of justice that is indicting one President with politically motivated charges while carrying water for another amid similar allegations.

Among the most disturbing parts of this report is the Special Counsel’s justification for not recommending charges: namely that the President’s memory had such ‘significant limitations’ that he could not convince a jury that the President held a ‘mental state of willfulness’ that a serious felony requires.

A man too incapable of being held accountable for mishandling classified information is certainly unfit for the Oval Office.”

As many have said all along. He’s unfit.

  3. I love how Dowd’s piece is on Biden, yet she can’t help but take swipes at “the bad man”… lol

TDS Is an ugly, all consuming, thing to its sufferers.

  4. Re 2:17, I was stumped as to what TDS meant, could only see that it was a high-speed internet service. lol. But I finally found what was the more likely reference.

Look, Dowd is a known liberal and when I read these columns I understand that. So yeah, there will be some of those opinions there, not sure why it was somehow alarming or noteworthy to point out as it was an (expected for those of us following policies) aside to her larger point. The piece was an opinion column.

Should be an interesting few months ahead. Seat belt time.

  5. I could only read a paragraph or so of the Ross Douthut NYT piece. But one thing he said did resonate with me a little.
He indicated that the Biden administration has been on par with other Democratic administrations in many ways. And that is accurate I think. If you discount the obvious discomfort of having a semi-senile leader, I’m not sure the actual policy is much different than Clinton’s would have been, or Obama’s. And I doubt it’s that much different than a Romney presidency would have been.

It really is all about policy. That’s why I’m perfectly content to write in Trump if he somehow falls off the ballot…or none of the above. The Uni-party is not an option for me.

  6. Debra: I think it has been quite different from Clinton’s, but very similar to Obama’s. The Obama and Biden administrations were the two worst – ever.

  8. Tychicus, I was referring to a hypothetical Hillary Clinton administration. Bill Clinton openly adopted many of the policies of of the Republicans who sent jobs overseas and other destructive activities. Those policies and their adherents are what we now know as the uni-party. Biden and Obama are terrible administrations no doubt. But they are the predictable ends of following the path we’ve been traveling for decades.

I’ve come to believe that being upset over the vote is like squabbling over the seating arrangements on the Titanic (sorry for the hackneyed metaphor). What’s done is done, and our young are in for a bumpy ride regardless of the Republican vote.

Live well, be in the Lord’s will, and pray for the salvation and the well-being of our families, neighbors and the universal body of Christ. These are the important things now. They’ve always been the important the things. :–)
