  1. Good Monday morning.

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep, Peter. I have a pill that brings on lack of sleep. It’s a black and white giant pill in generic form known as Miss Bosley. Yep! She was a pill in the night for some reason.

It will be a busy day with two different group meeting to attend. I hope I can get a ride to the one in the evening.

  2. Nonstop rain here, going on for almost 24 hours now.

Today I’m having to collect whatever information came in over the weekend from the 18 school district candidates I’m trying to wrangle into one pre-election story. 😦 Like herding cats.

  3. Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. Son in law is off to a job interview in his new town. Son is waiting on news from his house. Raccoons have free reign of the property but we still get a couple dozen eggs each day so not complaining too loudly about their downsizing.

  4. Yeah, we had an entire discussion of gopher wood, what it was, in one of our home group meetings last year as we were going through Genesis.

Just me and 1 tall, skittish dog. Maybe a rowboat would suffice.

  5. I’m sorry everyone. I’ve had a bit of a setback and more bad news this morning, so I didn’t get around to posting anything new.

It appears there is still a leak between my right kidney and the eliostomy, most likely the ureter. It is causing urine to leak, which is then showing up in the drain ball. The nurse took a sample yesterday which confirmed this. Now I must get a CT scan and blood work later this week which will decide our next course of action.

It’s kind of a gut punch, made worse by the fact that Cheryl had to return to the office today.

  6. while this has your head spinning Aj we are continuing to cover you and Cheryl in prayer. I know she was torn having to go back to the office and I pray peace that passes all understanding will envelope you both through this next bump in the journey.

Even though this is tough news I am thankful it was detected and there will be a plan of action. We love you ❣️

  7. Lifting you and Cheryl to the Lord, AJ. Asking for a thorough and complete fix. Such delicate surgergies must be super challenging for the most experienced doctors. Thankful for the process of healing which can inbolve a few detours. It sounds like God has supplied a good caring team to help. Still praising Him that all the cancer was removed. Please, dear Father, help AJ keep his eyes fixed on You. Keep him and Cheryl abiding in You. Bless them, again through this rocky portion of the good road to healing. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen

  8. Good morning, all. My brother heads out today, it has been very helpful having him here. He will be back in a month. He has to go to Disneyland, poor guy. Granddaughter thing.

  9. H. Mimsee,I decided to check in here.

I bought organic beets, the smallest rver and theu charge by the bunch so each little beet, not much bigger than a new potato costs a dollar each. I would have passed them by but had told a friend I would cook some for her.. i guess they will be done quickly.

My friend who likes the Call the Midwife series ended up buying the whole series for me. We watched the first of season 2 last night. It was pretty good. I think it will be an off and on series for me depending on the issue addressed in each episode.

  10. a tiring day today. After my work and a ladies meeting I went for my physical. Due to the way God orchestrated events they found that I had a uti. So then I had to go to town for medicine. Maybe that’s why I’m so tired

I would go to bed but if sounds like I need to check the prayer thread

  12. So sorry to hear about Joel Belz. When World had local area events, Art and I got to sit with him at a dinner at Maggianos, a fabulous Italian restaurant in a not too distant part of the city. A really nice man. Also, Son lived on Belz hall in the dorm at Covenant College. I used to read his page first when we received our subscription. He will be missed. One of his younger relatives is in leadership at a nearby church. Son ran into that fellow at a coffee shop at Toco Hills, judt down the street. Joel Belz made a tremendous difference to our lives.

  13. AJ, more prayers for you and Cheryl, tonight before I go to sleep. It is tiresome to have to again try and rally strength and willpower to go through more adventures in setting things right with your body. May God make this time the easiest and quickest to heal. You are gaining Pro status and are earning the right to brag on the number of procedures you have gone through in a two month period.

Dear God, please continue to bless AJ and Cheryl with all they can successfully navigate through this rough season. Please bring healing and good health after they have suffered a short while. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
