Prayer Requests 11-25-23

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 122

A song of ascents. Of David.

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
    in your gates, Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built like a city
    that is closely compacted together.
That is where the tribes go up—
    the tribes of the Lord
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
    and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
    I will seek your prosperity.

  1. We have sickness in our house. I tried really hard not to pass it on to Tim, but he woke feeling sick. He’s going to attempt a grocery trip as we’re running out of Kleenex!

  3. Zinc here.

We did think when the judge decided but that keeps getting pushed back. He does have a job when he gets to Boise and his mom is moving up to live with him and help with the children. But that all keeps getting delayed. Divorce is ugly.

  4. Tomorrow is the last day of this four-day weekend for Boy, so he will be going back to school on Monday. Please pray that he will not once again have a “meltdown” on Monday morning, ending up in a hospital again. (I’m calling it a “meltdown” for lack of a better word, but it is not merely a tantrum.)

  6. Prayers and much thankfulness for these hostages who are being released; prayer for their recovery from the trauma they likely endured, especially the very young and very old. And for their families as they rejoice but also cope with the aftermath of such personal devastation.

May God — and His presence and comfort and strength in all of this — be seen, sought and trusted.

  7. My dad went to church again today, second time in eight days and second time in seventy five years! May God reach him through the love shared, he certainly can’t hear the words!

  8. For anyone still up, please pray about tomorrow morning for Boy and Nightingale. This afternoon, she took him shopping for a new backpack (the old one was a little bit too small) and a lunchbox. This evening, I gave him a few words of encouragement. He seems prepared to go to school tomorrow, so I am feeling cautiously hopeful.

    Thank you for your prayers.
