It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the nestlings.
Anyone else have something to share?
Psalm 62
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
1 Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
3 How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
9 Surely the lowborn are but a breath,
the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
together they are only a breath.
10 Do not trust in extortion
or put vain hope in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
do not set your heart on them.
11 One thing God has spoken,
two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you, God,
12 and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.”
Praying for DJ.

Janice – Excuse me for asking, but somewhere along the line, I forgot who you were referring to. Who is having the heart bypass surgery? Is it your brother or Art? (Or someone else?)

Please pray for my friend Cindy’s husband Mike (and for Cindy, too, for that matter). Mike is in the ER for the third time in a few weeks, with his oxygen saturation at only 70%, which is very low. He was feeling faint and tingly.
Mike is in his late 70s or early 80s, has had COPD for a long time, and has been on oxygen for a few years now. Twice in the past, he “cheated death”, surviving a couple of very serious accidents that almost killed him. He has survived serious pneumonia at least a couple of times, including afterword having to be in the rehab portion of the nursing home where Nightingale works. (She was one of his nurses a few years ago, before she got the permanent position as charge nurse on one unit.)
After Mike was home again from another health issue a few weeks ago, I joked to Cindy that he is like the Energizer bunny. But this time, I have a bad feeling.

I think it’s Janice’s brother (?)
Prayers for Mike (and Cindy), that does sound concerning, Kizzie.

Thank you, DJ.
Yeah, I was thinking it is Janice’s brother, but the references to Art made me wonder if I missed something. 🙂
