  1. Good morning!

Such sweet birds to see this morning.

We are having comfortable weather, and it is suppose to get even better with a cold front which will bring a substantial dip in the humidity.

The news showed the poor conditions in PA from overheated schools with no a/c having to send students home early😳

  2. Mumsee, I always enjoy hearing about that almost magical world you live in!

We had a Wild West type scenario going on yesterday evening with someone shooting up the stores and businesses from a nearby shopping area parking lot. It is in my stomping grounds, my Sprouts, my Walmart, etc. Art and I picked up dinner from a fish franchise across the street from there this past week.

  3. It felt so much like fall walking Abby at dusk last night, rather rare for us this early in September. We’ve had an amazingly mild summer on the coastline.

I have a port meeting to cover (virtual) this morning, at least 2 stories to write (2 others can hold until tomorrow), a late-afternoon followup appointment with the hand doctor for my thumb, and I’m also expecting a call from an eye specialist I’ve been to about the question of that dropless cataract surgery (hope I don’t miss the call, it’ll be very possible I’m afraid with all that’s going on and his limited time to probably only call once, if he even can at all).

  4. Now I see a person did get shot at the shopping center and was found in the Ross shoe dept. But all the random shooting at dental office, doctor office, cars, and stores? And was the gun shot victim random ot the main target? Maybe cameras in the area will give some clues. I use to walk to this area when I lived in an apartment on Church St.

  5. What a frightening scene that must have been, Janice. The random shootings (even when there is an intended victim but it then just goes on and spreads from there) are so terrifying.

So much lawlessness in the culture right now, the shootings have been among the “trends” that especially give me great pause in what is unfolding, considering it all comes under God’s sovereignty for an unknown-to-us purpose.

Praying, again, that age-old prayer for all times — for peace on earth.

  6. Yes, it all sounds horrible and makes me sad to see such things happening all over the country now.

Our temperatures dropped about 30 degrees yesterday. I was not sad about it. We have smoke again, so being able to shut the windows is nice, too.

  7. A friend shared about about the new book, The Josiah Manifesto, from Jonathon Cahn. It makes some amazing connections regarding the Year of Jubilee. I may order it for Audible listening since I finished Amazing Grace yesterday. I almost cried about the death of Wilberforce. We need more like him!!!

Still waiting for Michelle’s book to show up on Audible♡

  8. So is Michelle!

Chapter 16 just won’t play ball, and so I’m paying someone to record it while I just renarrate it on Monday.

    Sigh. It’s always something.

I could just send you the files . . . LOL

  9. Word is still at it with my account. I cannot like anything and logging in every time twice is bothersome! If I’m on my phone it doesn’t mess with me!

A spontaneous meet up with a couple of friends this morning was wonderful. We sat outdoors at the coffee shoppe and the allergens in town were wreaking havoc with my head! Now home staying indoors after taking a Claritin…come on first freeze…I’m ready!

Janice that shooting reminds me of yesterday as I checked out at Walmart. A guy was being escorted out of the building shouting, screaming and writhing. The clerk looked at me and said she hoped he didn’t have a gun!! Another clerk came over and said he had just started working there that morning! Yikes!

  10. Court went as expected. Ended up being on zoom rather than in person. The judge saw nothing to indicate the guardianship should be terminated and understands daughter wants autonomy but thinks she has way too much already. We meet again in five or six weeks when daughter is to show record of volunteering in baby steps for the judge. Apparently the judge did some research in the community and is aware.

  11. Janice, have you seen the movie, “Amazing Grace”? I enjoyed the book and movie about Wilberforce. It is good to have a historical perspective of the length some things may take to be changed.

  12. I was listening to Glenn Beck as I was driving home from Tahoe. He was praising the attorney general of Georgia for doing his job and filing 61 indictments today against those attempting anarchy and trying to shut down the construction of a new police training facility
