Prayer Requests 9-5-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 53

A maskil of David.

The fool says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”
   They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

God looks down from heaven
    on all mankind
   to see if there are any who understand,
    any who seek God.
Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
    there is no one who does good,
    not even one.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

   They devour my people as though eating bread;
    they never call on God.
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    where there was nothing to dread.
   God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
    you put them to shame, for God despised them.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When God restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

  1. Prayer for twenty two daughter. She called last night with an anxiety attack so I took my bodyguards and went in to talk with her. Apparently she got into a fight with teenagers again and their mom arrived to break it up. Daughter was not rational and could not be reasoned with. She left when I told her I was not going to stay and let her discuss personal female body parts she had seen on Facebook and tick tok. She said I was not letting her be herself and I said I was not letting her muddy her siblings minds. I will try again when the next wave of sanity creeps in. Wisdom. May the Lord open her eyes and heal her mind.

  2. I’ve been on an insomnia wave the last week or so. Really dragging with Romans 1 to teach, work for the afternoon, and then a carpool turn.

    I think I finally fell asleep about 3:30. Saturday night I never slept at all.

    😦

  3. Also, praying for Dj’s upcoming eye surgery among other things.

    A truck with 5 older students from a nearby high school went over a sky bridge and landed on an interstate. All 5 were killed and 3 other people were injured. It happened around 4 a.m. on Labor Day. I don’t know other details. We’ve had past connections with the school because Wes attended Scouts with guys from there, and also, my former church is very involved with an outreach to the football team. I feel so sad for everyone. Two of the dead were siblings. Please pray for comfort for all at Lakeside High School. Thank you.

  4. How very sad for everyone involved and a wake up call for prayer for others to hear and receive the gospel.

    Thanks for the prayer. I am definitely better today, although not completely healed. Sleep is illusive on these warm nights, although not too much different than the usual. Such is life for a whole lot of older people.
