Prayer Requests 7-27-23

It’s Thursday, so please remember to pray for Jo and the people of PNG.

Anyone else have something to share

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
    Who may live on your holy mountain?

The one whose walk is blameless,
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
    who does no wrong to a neighbor,
    and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
    but honors those who fear the Lord;
   who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
    and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
    who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

   Whoever does these things
    will never be shaken.

  1. Prayers over those mentioned last night by Kizzie and Dj.

    Nightingale handled things so wisely for her friend, M. Such a great loss and timing could hardly have been worse to receive that news. May God comfort all who are grieving such a horrible and untimely loss.

    Dj, May your cat rescuer friend be given success in the surgery and treatment. Seems like I recall hearing of a new very successful treatment for that type cancer, at least I hope so. I know hearing this news was hard because of the relatively recent loss of Annie Oakley. Prayers for your continuing comfort over the losses of your beloved pets, so much in such a short season.

  2. Thank you. She had told me a few weeks ago.

    I did let her know my elder at church recently had surgery for that and is now undergoing treatments and doing well. He preached at church just a few weeks ago.

    But I have no idea what her prognosis is, she hasn’t wanted to say much about it which I understand. So I was actually glad to hear there is a surgery set for Aug. 3 when I contacted her again online the other day.

  3. Please pray for wisdom for Nightingale on a decision she has made. It is not a major thing, just a personal thing, but she could regret it in years to come.

    And while I’m asking for wisdom for her in that, please also pray for wisdom in other areas in our lives right now. Thank you.
