Good Morning Everyone.
I managed to empty and tear down a few more boxes last night.
I have asked Mr. P not to buy anything for the house. I told him we would go together Saturday to get a few things.
I REALLY want to go through what we have and cull.
Oh, and G disappointed me. He was supposed to get my mother’s china cabinet for BG. He didn’t. He said she didn’t want it and he didn’t go get it so now I have to deal with someone getting it from the renters and I look bad.
Good morning, Wanderers! The cicadas are singing along with the clickedy-clack of a passing train.
We plan to take the trunk load of donations to a shop that benefits ladies learning to do life again after being caught up in the sex industry. I could easily take things to Goodwill, a mile from here, but much rather benefit this other store, thirty minutes away.
Kim, that is tough to have to try and get that cabinet back. Could you find an inexpensive shelving unit to fill the vacated space to maybe ease their sense of loss of storage?
Morning. Niece and I stayed up until 2:15 this morning talking! I have no idea what I said as I am usually incoherent after 9pm but she needed to talk.
When she hugged me goodbye this morning she cried and told me she missed her Mom(she passed away 2 years ago)…talking with me in the wee hours of the morning brought back sweet memories of her close relationship with my sis in law. I will be forever thankful for the precious moments spent with R and her husband. Our Lord is so gracious and kind.
This is something I shared on Facebook yesterday, after seeing posts about “stranger danger” kidnappings:
“Let me start by saying that this post is not specifically about the “Sound of Freedom” movie. Some love the movie, and others think it twists the truth, but that’s not the point of this post.
However, since the movie came out and has become popular, I have started to see posts on Facebook about the danger of strangers kidnapping children. Yes, this does happen sometimes, and parents should always be aware of their and their children’s surroundings. That’s just common sense.
But the awful truth is that the majority of child sexual abuse, kidnappings, and/or trafficking, are done by people the child knows, even relatives or “friends” of the family. Something to keep in mind.”
I received the cheap little dent remover/suction tool from Amazon and wow, it worked the first time. Son was skeptical and shocked as it took about a second and it was back to how it looked before. I told him it was another birthday present.
He drove me to the donation site earlier so my car is emptied finally. I added two more bags of shoes to the donations this morning.
Now he is sawing down the leggy shrubs out front.
I found out that at L’abri the visitors work half of each day. Glad he is in the habit 😀
I am thankful for the additional warnings fotd parents to be alert both from strangers and from people the children see every day. The reminders for parents to be cautious and also for them to make children alert to things that are not right are important. Thanks, Kizzie, for sharing that. I know you did it ftom a kind-hearted caring concern and not putting the movie down. The movie is truly a good movie, so well done!
Thank you, Janice. I thought that if I didn’t begin that the way I did, some people might assume that my comment was merely meant to disparage the movie.
Kizzie, you took the time to be diplomatic so it helped a lot to bring understanding to what you wanted to express. I still don’t understand why the movie has been so politicized. It is just a good, good movie with great acting. Will you be able to see it? People need to see it and form their own opinions. Do you have a reason not to see it? It in no way shows anything graphic but does imply that some abuse occurs. It has sadness in that the man loses both his children and then gets his son back but has a long wait until he gets his daughter back. It did make me cry but not sob.
Janice – If it eventually comes to Netflix or Prime I might see it.
These days, it seems that everything gets politicized. It’s crazy!
From from what I have read about the concerns over the movie, it sounds like the best way to look at it is that it is a movie, and thus some big liberties were taken with the facts. That is usually how it is with fact-based movies anyway.

Interesting article about Muslim conversions to Christ. We’ve been hearing a lot of transformed lives because of vivid dreams in the world.

Twenty one was here for a visit. It did not go well. I called the sheriff dept, they were able to get things straightened out.

Mumsee, so sorry to hear that. Thankful you have good law enforcement officers. I hope your father was not overwhelmed by it.🙏
