Prayer Requests 6-6-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 122

A song of ascents. Of David.

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
    in your gates, Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built like a city
    that is closely compacted together.
That is where the tribes go up—
    the tribes of the Lord
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
    and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
    I will seek your prosperity.

  1. Reading this scripture this morning knowing we have a calling as His followers.

At times we may appear “salty” but we are not to sit by and hide what is truth and light.
May we always run towards Him as we navigate this sometimes bumpy path in life…

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

  2. My husband was up with tooth pain. Fortunately, he got right into the dentist this morning. This was from a tooth that broke off a while ago, which he hadn’t had removed yet. I was not happy because I had warned him about not doing anything. Dentist got him all prepped for a removal, but he got too shaky and still had pain. He will make an appointment with an oral surgeon and take anti-biotics now. I am hoping it will not stand in the way of us going to our grandson’s graduation.

  3. Mrs B has foot surgery tomorrow to correct three problems in the first two toes. It’s been a long time since she had any kind of surgery and she’s feeling a little nervous about it.

  4. Yes indeed Mumsee and that is the mention of always running towards Him as we navigate this road. To bring glory to Him and only Him ❤️

Praying for your husband Kathaleena. Antibiotics is probably the best way to go before the surgery just to make certain there will be not further issues in that area.

Kevin we shall cover your wife in prayer during her surgery. Never fun but trusting Him to bring her calm and a successful procedure!
