I had PT today which is always a pleasant and upbeat experience. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to go. It all depends on when I hit the point of being improved as much as will be likely.
I went to Kosher Kroger for a bag of dry cat food and got a surprise. They had taken out more of the regular checkout lanes and converted them to self-checkout. There was only one lady in the whole big area assiting people with self-checkout. I went to her and was told where to go, but it was no help. I finally went to her again and said I can’t do self-checkout because of vision problems. She quickly rang me up. I am feeling like I can’t even shop there anymore. I was not the only older person there looking totally confused. The store appears to be getting greedy not wanting to pay cashiers. I will be shopping for a less upscale store.
When I got home a young guy was walking in my driveway. He claimed to be with the Humane Society and asked if I had heard of that😃
“Well, yes. But we don’t have any money to give.”
“You can also give towels, etc. . .”
I ended it with, “Y’all are doing a great job.”
This is not something that typically happens here.
We’re getting a lot of the self-serve checkout stands here, they started going in some years ago but we’re a ‘union’ town and it’s not been very well received.
Most of us still use the people-manned checkouts but they do always have someone stationed at the self-serve posts to help as it can be confusing.
Not sure what day it is. My feet are still swollen
Our guide is a believer and doing a great job

Saw a photo of AJ on Facebook of him wearing the “crown” bonnet for surgery. He is about to be in surgery now.🙏

I hope all has gone well for AJ today.
I took a mental health day today. I hated everyone and everything and there were nothing but problems.
I am better now.

Kim, haha, I definitely feel like that some days!
Not pretty. But it’s real, it happens.

OK, so maybe “Nailed It” @10:25 better describes AJ in his post-surgery state.
