Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 60
1 You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us;
you have been angry—now restore us!
2 You have shaken the land and torn it open;
mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
3 You have shown your people desperate times;
you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner
to be unfurled against the bow.
5 Save us and help us with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered.
6 God has spoken from his sanctuary:
“In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet,
Judah is my scepter.
8 Moab is my washbasin,
on Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
9 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?
11 Give us aid against the enemy,
for human help is worthless.
12 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.
Requesting prayers for my dad this morning. We are at the ER and he is being tested for stroke. Blood pressure is very high and he has weakness and numbness in left side and some loss of control.
Apparently he had the numbness in his hand when he woke up this morning. But the rascal said nothing… except to suggest we all go out to breakfast, which we did. By the time we got home he was dizzy so we took his blood pressure. That’s when the full story came out. He ‘s a good patient, but really hates going to the hospital. Praying his stay here is short and effective. Thanks.

Prayer for our nation, our leaders, our believers, our fellow citizens, the folk living here illegally. We are looking at seriously dark times. May God be glorified, His people be lights, His instruments be wise, eyes and hearts opened to Truth.

Praying for your dad, Debra. Glad you got him in to be checked out and treated fairly quickly. He’s blessed to have you. Let us know how he’s doing.
___________
My church elder who was diagnosed with colon cancer will be having several consultations in the coming days as doctors determine the best approach to take in treatments.
This was part of his text reply to me yesterday:
~ I was recently reading about three words – anxiety, frustration and discontentment. Anxiety is fear of what is waiting around the corner, frustration is irritation at the things getting in the way of my plans, and discontentment is failure to be satisfied with the life God has given me. It is my prayer that I learn more deeply to respond in faith and trust in my Heavenly Father, and not fall prey to these subtle sins. ~
___________
And I join mumsee in prayer for the nation, we do seem to be in a precarious time and circumstance. Praying for God’s mercy and guidance — and overall, that His will be done (and so it will), come what may. I’ve failed to pray for the nation as much as I should.

Praying, Debra.
Lord, please bring Debra’s dad back to strength and well-being. Thank You that this was caught early before it was out of control. May he be released before he feels he has been there too long. Please give him patience with everyone helping him, and may they all be nice people. Thank You that he had caring family members available to help in his time of need. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Praying with you, Mumsee. May the people in our nation have a great awakening to the ultimate sovereignty of God, and may they (we) humble themselves (ourselves), repent of sinfulness that creates bondage, and get right with God. May He be acknowledged as Lord over all and given honor, glory, and praise as He deserves. May false idol worship be no more in this land for He is the only true God. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Please pray for wisdom as I prepare to decide whether or not to switch from my current internet service to a different one that is getting a lot of buzz in town as they have introduced fiber optic service. With our wi-fi router recently out-of-order, and the modem needing to be replaced, too (it’s been iffy for a while), I either need to have my router and modem replaced with the current company or switch to the new one.
I want to make the right decision, especially since Nightingale will need the internet to work well when she starts classes again this fall.

I am currently using a hotspot that is on my phone to use my laptop. I have no idea how that works, just that it does. 🙂

Heavenly Father, please give wisdom and guidance to Kizzie as she makes this decision. Please help her to find people in the know to help her see which way would be best. If Nightingale needs to help in the decision, please motivate her to do so. May it all work out well for their family. Thank You for listening and providing. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Thanks for the prayers for Dad. His symptoms continue to come and go, though I think they are a little milder now. He is comfortably settled in a hospital room for the night and awaiting more testing tomorrow. His only real complaint is that he’s having to miss church tomorrow.
