“Dilbert” creator Scott Adams went on a racist rant over the weekend that got his comic strip canceled from newspapers, calendars, coffee mugs — everything. He threw his career away by calling black people a “hate group.”
Except that’s not what happened.
Before jumping on the “OMG Scott Adams is a RAYCISS!” bandwagon, I did something far more radical than anything he said. I watched the video. I read takes from both sides. I looked to see what Adams had to say about it, and about the reactions (both positive and negative) that he received.
So I can tell you with confidence: Scott Adams is no racist. But for the creator of “Dilbert,” it might be something worse: Adams’s monologue wasn’t funny or even particularly provoking — even though all the usual suspects indeed behaved as though they’d been provoked.
By his own admission, Adams was using “hyperbole” to make his point. There are just two problems with that. The first is that his targets weren’t clear. Was he going after Rasmussen for releasing a “poll” with only 160 respondents? Was he mocking white flight? Was he satirizing the notion that blacks can’t be racist? The whole thing was just too scattershot to be effective. The second problem is that if Adams was trying to be funny, he wasn’t nearly arch enough for the humor to come through.
Ronald Reagan believed that if you’re explaining, you’re losing. The same is true for jokes: If you have to explain them, they aren’t funny. Adams got himself in a situation where he had to explain, explain, explain.
So for me, the video was a big “meh” from a sharp humorist who usually has a lot to say and who says it well.
Why did Adams put out a video that he must have known would get “Dilbert” globally canceled? I get the feeling that might have been his goal all along, to get Dilbert pulled from newspapers that despise its creator. Adams is taking his comic strip private, available soon to subscribers only on his Locals page.
The key to unlocking any remaining mystery is right here in something Adams tweeted on Monday, hours after he released the Kraken: “Now that I have no anchor on my free speech, tomorrow will be fun.”
So it should be for all of us: Americans left alone to enjoy exercising our liberty — right or wrong, funny or unfunny.”
——
An obvious question for those who canceled me is do they disagree with my point. So far I have not seen it. I only see disagreement with my use of hyperbole.
“By now you have to assume, absent any other evidence, that any hate crime or hate speech is a hoax perpetrated by the Left.
I’m not saying that there aren’t White Supremacists out there. Undoubtedly in a country of over 300 million people, you will find examples of anything.
But as Glenn Reynolds likes to say, the demand for hate crimes far exceeds the supply, so there are a lot of fakes. And, like the fakes you encounter on the streets of most major American cities, they are actually pretty easy to distinguish if you spend 30 seconds looking for the misspelled logos and poor stitching on the purses.
I should have done that with the Movado watch I bought for $9.99 on the streets of Washington D.C. Live and learn.
The latest hate hoax the Left tried to shove down our throats was the so-called “Day of Hate” that the Right Wingers supposedly called for to occur last Saturday.
As a certified Right Winger™ and a terminally online person I was shocked to discover such a day had occurred. The only evidence of it, of course, was Left Wingers denouncing it and demanding that everybody else do so too, lest we be passively endorsing it.
Left-wingers and the MSM, but I repeat myself.
Now I am not one to deny that there are roving bands of noose-carrying and bleach-throwing Nazis roaming Chicago’s streets looking for gay black actors to attack in -30 weather as they walk home from Subway. At least not without compelling evidence. So I took this Day of Hate talk very seriously, as I would a NASCAR driver finding nooses on his garage door.
But I honestly failed to find an increase in hate on Twitter or elsewhere on Saturday.”
Is there any evidence this "day of hate" even took place at any level? Like with a single neo-nazi showing up somewhere to protest? Did I just miss it? pic.twitter.com/FcVh478Jty
“Not that there wasn’t plenty of hate to find. We are talking about Twitter, after all. My own Twitter profile (@davidstrom) jokes “I try to be nice on Twitter, but I think that violates the Terms of Service.” Twitter is a cesspool of hate from every ideological corner.
But an increase? On Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere else? Called for by leaders of the Right?
A total invention, but as you can see the MSM picked up the ball and ran with it.
Matt Walsh had a bit of fun with the whole fake phenomenon, although the point behind it is real enough. After all, the FBI tried to label parents objecting to their children getting raped “domestic terrorists.””
Probably want to make the psy-op a little bit less obvious next time, fellas
“One of the reasons why the Left does this sort of hoax is that it puts a lot of conservatives on their back foot. Nobody likes to be called nasty names or be canceled, so the idea is to keep us walking on eggshells.
Not gonna happen. Only Establishment righties respond to any of this any more.”
“77% of Americans aged 17-24 aren’t fit for service: DOD
Separate from fitness for service, the military faces numerous other obstacles to recruiting younger soldiers, among them a perception that the military is engaging in left-wing social experiments.”
“The U.S. Armed Forces increasingly struggle to meet their recruiting targets for the nation’s volunteer military, an issue in part attributable to the ever shrinking pool of eligible recruits. A colossal 77% of Americans aged 17-24 are unfit for military service, the Pentagon has concluded, a figure which has risen 6% since 2017.
The DOD report, which was cited in a Feb. 16 congressional hearing, according to the Epoch Times, concluded that obesity was a driving factor in the eligibility decline. Obesity rates have increased consistently for decades and 42.9% of the U.S. adult population qualify as obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 1999, that figure was more than 10 points lower.
The Times cited a PubMed study linking greater risk of obesity to the receipt of food assistance, especially through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Essentially, those receiving food assistance are more likely to consume unhealthy food and thereby become obese.
Separate from fitness for service, the military faces numerous other obstacles to recruiting younger soldiers, among them a perception that the military is engaging in left-wing social experiments.”
“Public safety is the foundation of any free society. In the United States, our families deserve to live in safe communities without the constant fear of violent crime and lawlessness threatening their personal security.
Unfortunately, due to Democrats’ soft-on-crime, defund-the-police agenda, too many Americans have been victimized by violent criminals who are allowed to walk free because Democrat prosecutors won’t even charge them with a crime.
In our Commitment to America, House Republicans pledged to hold criminals accountable for their actions, support our police departments, and uphold the rule of law across our nation. Safety and security are what the American people expect and deserve from their elected officials.
Despite what Democrats claim, our growing concerns about public safety are not unfounded. Crime is skyrocketing in major U.S. cities nationwide because Democrats have defunded their police departments, ended cash bail and allowed violent criminals back on our streets to terrorize communities with no more than a slap on the wrist.
Naturally, these dangerous policies have consequences. More than 15 U.S. cities – including Atlanta, Austin, and St. Paul – saw their 2021 homicide numbers break previous records.
According to the Major Cities Chiefs Association’s 2022 crime report, homicides have increased by 41% in Chicago, 45% in Philadelphia, and 236% in Portland since 2019. These alarming statistics should serve as a wake-up call for Democrats to reevaluate their failed agenda. However, in our nation’s capital, pro-criminal policies are the extreme left’s gold standard.
In Washington, D.C., just this year, sexual abuse is up 100%, motor vehicle theft is up 111%, and homicides have increased by 18%. But, just weeks ago, even despite the liberal mayor’s veto, the Washington, D.C. City Council approved legislation to slash prison sentences for the worst offenders, eliminate penalties for a slew of violent crimes, and release scores of dangerous criminals back onto our streets. Sadly, this is the Democrats’ blueprint for America – right in President Joe Biden’s back yard. ”
“Two top GOP communications officials are bracing for pushback to a required loyalty pledge for Republican presidential contenders, warning Monday on Newsmax the level of party support will impact both 2024 campaigning and efforts to get out the vote.
In remarks on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America,” national spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee Danielle Alvarez, and former deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said Republicans must stand behind the party’s candidate to reclaim the White House.
“We have to respect the will of our Republican voters,” Alvarez said. “Whoever they choose [in the primaries]. We have to get behind them, and we can’t take our eye off the prize. Our [RNC] Chairwoman [Ronna] McDaniel — I can’t say it any better — [says] we have to be united. The goal is to defeat Joe Biden.”
“Everyone’s got to buckle up,” she added. “I think it’s going to be pretty exciting to see the campaign get underway and we’re certainly going to see a lot of blunders from the president and the vice president.”
Gidley warned, however, “some drama” in the primaries is “inevitable.”
“History is our guide here,” he said.
“Remember, we were off to shut up, swallow our pride, to suck it up and get behind milquetoast Mitt Romney — Mr. Establishment himself,” he said. “Paul Ryan was on that [2012] ticket, and we did so dutifully because we wanted to take back the White House and wanted to defeat Barack Obama.”
“Anyone in this race on the Republican side should support the Republican nominee, regardless of how that campaign shakes out on the primary side,” Gidley insisted. “But remember, it’s smart, I think, for a lot of these candidates to say, Wait a minute. I’m not gonna pledge something just yet. Let’s wait and see who’s in the field. Let’s wait and see what happens before I throw my support behind somebody.”

Let me translate that.
Fine, we’ll do it, unless Trump wins again and then we just toss our honor and pledge out the window because Orange Man Bad.
“As we’ve discussed here previously, the House Oversight Committee is looking into various communications and financial transactions related to the Biden family’s involvement with overseas entities from China, Ukraine, Russia, and beyond. (Biden Incorporated.) Or at least they’re trying to look into this. One area of inquiry has been a demand for the Treasury Department to turn over any records of dubious financial transactions involving the President, his Brother Jim, and First Son Hunter. These records, submitted by various banks to the Treasury Department when financial transactions look shady, are known as Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and they would probably be a good place to start. But thus far, Janet Yellen’s Treasury Department has failed to produce any records or even a coherent response as to when they might be expected. This has left James Comer flustered and resulted in a letter to the Treasury accusing them of obstruction and “operating in bad faith.” (Daily Wire)
House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-KY) accused the Biden administration of “operating in bad faith” and obstructing his committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s finances.
Comer said in a letter to the Treasury Department on Monday that the department has been suspiciously slow to respond to committee requests for Suspicious Activity Reports filed over deals members of President Joe Biden’s family made with foreign businessmen.
“During the Committee’s dialogue with Treasury, you have made several excuses for Treasury’s delay regarding this production,” Comer wrote. “Given the amount of time that has passed since our initial request and Treasury’s inability to provide a projected timeframe when the [suspicious activity reports] will be produced, the Committee believes Treasury may be delaying its production to hinder our investigation and operating in bad faith.”
The committee made sure to get the word out to the public on social media.”
The Treasury Department is obstructing our investigation into the Biden family’s business schemes.
“The one response that Comer has received thus far came from Treasury deputy assistant secretary for oversight Isabella More. She told the committee that Treasury still needed to “meet with law enforcement partners” due to the “sensitive nature” of the documents being requested.
Excuse me, but since when does the Treasury need to consult with “law enforcement partners” before supplying documents to the Oversight Committee? And precisely which “partners” in law enforcement is she talking about? That wouldn’t be the FBI, would it?”
“Open the Books founder Adam Andrzejewski joined The Evening Edit on Tuesday night to discuss Dr. Tony Fauci and the Energy Department’s latest admission that the COVID-19 virus was created in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
Andrzejewski discussed how Dr. Fauci’s income increased from $7.6 million to $12.6 million dollars. This was while he put millions of Americans out of work without any concern.
From the interview:
Adam Andrzejewski: We’re letting China get away with too much. And it’s been going on for decades. It’s a Chinese strategy. For example, last fall, our organization at OpenTheBooks.com openthebooks.com, we highlighted the strider technologies report, where up to 150 former employees of the los alamos national lab, our crown jewel national lab, aren’t working in America anymore. They’re working back in China on behalf of the Chinese communist party and against our military national interests…
…We investigated Dr. Fauci because I don’t even think it’s arguable that he is one of the most powerful bureaucrats ever in the history of the country. And obviously, in crafting America’s COVID response during the pandemic, we gave oversight to the Fauci family finances. Here’s what we found, Liz. We found that Dr. Fauci was the most highly compensated federal employee, and he out-earned the president. Last year. He made $480,000. And Mrs. Fauci, Christine Grady, she’s employed as the chief bioethicist at Fauci’s employer, the National Institutes of Health. So while Fauci was crafting national healthcare pandemic policies, she was backstopping those policies through her office on ethics and moral studies. She actually out-earned the vice president of the United States. Now, Dr. Fauci’s retired at the end of the year, and he’s retired on the largest pension in federal history. We estimate that pension at $375,000 a year…”
—
“…We’ve researched a 50-page document that empirically shows that as Dr. Fauci’s positions during the Pandemic changed Mrs. Fauci’s positions on ethics studies during the Pandemic changed to match her husband’s positions. And so we’ll be ready in a couple of weeks to release that report. Look, Dr. Fauci’s net worth, we showed that during the Pandemic years of 2019 through 2021, it increased from $7.6 million to $12.6 million. We show exactly how Fauci profited during the Pandemic.
It’s safe to say the pandemic was very, very good to Dr. Tony Fauci.”
“While the White House reported Monday that the U.S. intelligence community has not yet reached a “consensus” on the origins of the COVID-19 virus, the Biden administration voiced support for the practice of gain-of-function research, so long as it was done safely, securely, and with transparency.
As complicated as it is complex, such research generally refers to the intentional manipulation of viruses to make them more transmissible, and therefore more dangerous, in order to study them. Critics argue the risks outweigh any potential reward if this kind of research goes wrong.
Congressional Republicans, led by Sens. Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton, and Rand Paul, say that the coronavirus likely leaked from a Chinese research facility in Wuhan that was engaging in that kind of research and have called for a moratorium on federal funding to any university or organizations conducting gain-of-function studies.
When RealClearPolitics asked Monday if President Biden thought gain of function was “prudent,” John Kirby, the president’s National Security Council spokesman replied that he did.
“He believes that it’s important to help prevent future pandemics, which means he understands that there has to be legitimate scientific research into the sources or potential sources of pandemics so that we understand it so that we can prevent them and we prevent them from happening obviously,” Kirby said before adding that the president believed any such research “must be done in a safe and secure manner and as transparent as possible to the rest of the world.”
To sum up, Kirby then told RCP, “I think that’s a fancy way of saying ‘yes.’”
The Obama administration reached a different conclusion in 2014 and halted taxpayer funding for such research. Three years later, during the Trump administration, the National Institute of Health lifted that moratorium.
Republicans have accused the NIH of funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through an intermediary, the American biomedical company EcoHealth Alliance. Dr. Anthony Fauci, formerly the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told Congress in May of 2021 that NIH “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
Critics have returned to that controversy in light of new reporting by the Wall Street Journal that the Energy Department has concluded the COVID-19 most likely arose from a laboratory leak. That theory was first posited during the Trump administration and widely dismissed at the time as a conspiracy theory. It increasingly seems plausible after a separate earlier analysis by the FBI concluded that the lab in Wuhan was the “likely” origin of the virus.
“If we have learned anything from this pandemic, it’s that risky virus-enhancing research – like the type conducted in Wuhan that was funded by the U.S. government – needs more oversight and regulation,” Rand Paul told RCP.
A physician and a vocal critic of Fauci, Paul added that “worldwide approximately 15 million people died – the memory of their deaths demands that we have more scrutiny of this dangerous research.”
Congressional Republicans already promised more oversight and investigations into the issue, especially after the Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General wrote in a report last month that “NIH did not effectively monitor or take timely action to address” whether EcoHealth Alliance complied with reporting requirements.
The White House did not confirm the WSJ report but reiterated that Biden had “doubled down” and ordered that considerable resources are put behind “getting to the bottom of the origins of COVID-19.” Republicans, meanwhile, continue to argue that Biden is going soft on Beijing.
“The Biden White House won’t have credibility on safe scientific research so long as it continues to dismiss the growing evidence that COVID came from a gain-of-function lab accident in China,” Marco Rubio, the ranking member on the Senate Intelligence Committee, told RCP.”
If this were a case where establishment institutions admit error — "we know we insisted for 18 months that COVID's origins were dispositively proven but now see we were wrong" — that would not only be commendable but would also re-build trust.
On Sunday, @BrianStelter had the limitless audacity to insist CNN and similar outlets never called the Biden laptop "Russian disinformation." LOL. He knows you remember them repeatedly doing it, but just brazenly lies instead of accepting accountability.https://t.co/kjLH42pbaf
On the most vital debates and questions, the US corporate media gets caught lying and deceiving over and over, usually because they serve as obedient propaganda outlets for state officials.
And the one thing they never do is apologize. That's because they're doing their jobs.
Thus, public faith and trust in these media institutions – already at an all-time low – will continue to plummet. They deserve all of this public contempt; it's all well-earned.
But since they never hear criticisms from inside their insular circles, they will never self-reflect. pic.twitter.com/z4zR6Je70R
The Fraud formerly known as David French found a new place to peddle his trash. Seems fitting.
Sorry David, folks are onto your grifting. It doesn’t matter where you do it.
Remember when all the evangelicals in institutional leadership cheered over David French going to NYT because it was going to be so exciting having someone representing conservative Christian views and offering something new and different? These are French’s last four columns. pic.twitter.com/TXyrjjAWqi
I don’t think so to the progressive leadership. They understand what use he is. They define his soft leftism as conservative so that they can then define real conservatism as extreme and they’re justified in hating it and barring it from society. He serves their purpose.
“Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot came in third in Tuesday’s vote to determine the two candidates for the mayoral election in April.
Lightfoot is the first Chicago mayor to only serve one term in 40 years.
During Lightfoot’s four years, the city got worse, which I guess was possible. She also became tyrannical during the pandemic.
Former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas came out on top with 30% of the votes, with 75% of the precincts reporting.
Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson is in second with 20% of the votes.
From The Chicago Tribune:
Lightfoot was squeezed by opposition from both ends of the political spectrum as the more conservative Vallas pushed a law-and-order theme while progressive candidates such as Johnson and García tried to convince voters that Lightfoot brought incomplete answers to the city’s problems and divisiveness.”
“It was recently reported that the Energy Dept Concludes Covid Likely Was Result of Wuhan Lab Leak.
In that post I detailed the history of Chinese government attempts to repress reporting on the Wuhan lab leak possibility, and how western liberals joined the effort to declare any mention of Wuhan in connection with the virus as “racist”:
Part of that history was the Chinese government’s attempt to stifle discussion about the origin of the virus, declaring through its proxy the WHO, that even to mention “Wuhan” in connection with “virus” was racist. The term Wuhan Coronavirus, commonly used in the mainstream media, disappeared almost overnight in the media and elsewhere, including campuses. So thorough was the linguistic manipulation, even Grammerly got into the act.
But it always was obvious that a lab leak was the most likely explanation, as Jon Stewart humorously explained to a befuddled and clearly uncomfortable Stephen Colbert:”
“While it was previously reported that the FBI had moderate confidence of the lab leak theory, that was confirmed today by FBI Director Christopher Wray in an interview with Bret Baier, FBI director says COVID pandemic ‘most likely’ originated from Chinese lab:
FBI Director Christopher Wray said that the COVID-19 pandemic was likely caused by a lab leak in Wuhan, China.
“The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan,” Wray told Fox News in an interview that aired Tuesday. “Here you are talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab.””
Glad to see @FBI Dir. Wray finally coming forward w/ info regarding their assessment that #COVID19 leaked from a #Wuhan laboratory. I’ve been pushing for them to share this info with the American public for months but @ODNIgov has been holding it back. WE NEED FULL TRANSPARENCY! pic.twitter.com/cEzJplQc9c
Former GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan has made it known he will not attend the 2024 Republican Convention if the nominee is former President Donald Trump. The convention is set to take place in Milwaukee in Ryan’s home state of Wisconsin.
So. Here we go again. All but declaring his devotion to RINOism — Republican in Name Only — Ryan has slid a long way down the pole from the rising star conservative he was once thought to be.
The man who was the vice presidential nominee on the 2012 ticket with Mitt Romney seemingly has no realization that yes, in fact, he and Romney lost their election while Trump won his in 2016. They played the RINO card and got clobbered.
Let’s cut to the chase. What’s really going on here is that someone got used to swimming in the Washington/establishment Swamp — and thus has nothing but disdain for the Outsider President.
And yes, the Republican Party has been here before.”
—
“When it was clear that Anderson could not win the GOP nomination, he dropped out — announcing that “he was dropping out of the Republican race to begin the arduous task of getting on all fifty state presidential ballots as an independent.”
In other words, just as yesterday’s “Republican” John Anderson wanted to defeat Outsider Ronald Reagan, today’s “Republican” Paul Ryan has declared he will not support Donald Trump.
It should be abundantly clear by now that all those Never Trumpers out there in the GOP are not only not real Republicans, but their support for Joe Biden has had serious consequences. From Putin’s invasion of Ukraine — something that would never have happened had Trump been president — to the disastrous defeat in the Afghanistan withdrawal, roaring inflation, surging gas prices, and the stacking of the courts with left-wing nominees — all of this is a result of the Biden presidency. A presidency adamantly demanded by the Never Trumpers.
It is crystal clear that Paul Ryan has all but formally left the Republican Party — just as John Anderson did in 1980.
Plain and simple, Washington establishment insiders cannot abide Washington Outsiders. Which is to say they have a serious dislike of millions of Americans.
This time around, it’s Donald Trump that the Ryans of the world detest. Once upon a time, it was Ronald Reagan.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.”
“It’s a relatively new phenomenon – journalists who are against journalism. Oh, they don’t come right out and say it, that would be stupid, they just come out against it whenever it is practiced, even if by accident. Weirdly, every act of journalism that gets condemned by journalists was something that went against the left-wing narrative; a coincidence, I’m sure.
Weirdly, when the left-wing industrial complex were getting story after story wrong (all in one direction: anti-Trump) there was no wholesale condemnation or criticism of those responsible. A couple were disciplined, but most incidences were simply ignored. Corrections were issues without noting the changes in the piece; the corrections that were noted had the explanation watered down to the point of insignificance.
If it were done in the name of the progressive agenda, any sin against what once was called journalistic ethics was forgiven. Only one anonymous source? Meh, it’s cool, it makes Trump look bad. Someone with an axe to grind? Who cares, it makes Trump look bad. Something where everyone is on record saying a story is false, even people who dislike Trump and have every incentive to remain silent? All good, agenda über alles!
Remember the NBC News reporter who told, on air, what the police body cam footage of the attack on Paul Pelosi showed? His name is Miguel Almaguer and he got suspended for reporting what was an accurate account of the understandably awkward interaction (if someone breaks into your house and threatens you or your wife with a hammer you’d be a little hesitant to upset the status quo when police showed up too). His return to air was not noted and no comment was forthcoming from NBC after.
Then there was the tale of John Fetterman. Well, not about Fetterman himself, but about the NBC News reporter who landed his first network interview. She accurately reported on how their discussion needed a computer and real time closed captioning because Fetterman can’t understand or decipher speech. Then the report, Dasha Burns, mentioned that Fetterman couldn’t understand small talk that wasn’t transcribed.
All hell broke loose, other “journalists,” even some who also worked at NBC News, slammed Burns as a fraud and a liar because they’d spoken to Fetterman and didn’t have that problem. That was, of course, a bald-faced lie. Anyone with half a brain cell could see Burns was being honest and all of her detractors were circling the wagons for Democrats. Have you seen Burns on air lately? She’s around, but she’s essentially done.
She made the mistake of reporting something that, while truthful, made a Democrat look bad. For that, she was punished. Meanwhile, Fetterman is incapable of doing his job and currently residing in a hospital dealing with depression from, among other things, that reality and the fact that his family prioritized his campaign over his health.
Then we have Dana Milbank and the gang at Al Sharpton’s weekend TV show. Sharpton is a hack and a moron, but the Washington Post’s Milbank is no slouch himself. A former MSNBC contributor (tells you something that all of these people are associated with NBC News, doesn’t it?), Milbank is upset, along with Sharpton, that Tucker Carlson was given 44,000 hours of surveillance footage from January 6, 2021. He claims it’s because that footage could put the lives of Members of Congress in danger, but they weren’t in danger on that day in the first place.
Milbank and Sharpton now support the idea of all media outlets getting the footage…after 2 years of not wanting it. But they don’t “trust” Tucker. They don’t say why they don’t trust Tucker – like everything, leftists simply declare something to be and never bother justifying it because they live in an echo chamber – and want to have a chance to craft a counter-narrative themselves from the footage. Weird how they only want information when it’s coming out anyway, and in a way they can’t control.
I’d ask what they’re afraid of but I know the answer is their audience encountering information they don’t approve of.”
So I’m curious, has anyone else noticed how the mainstream media has been touting the idea that millennials are entitled? I’ve been seeing a lot of articles recently that talk about how millennials are demanding too much and not working hard enough, and that they’re causing all sorts of social problems. Is this really how the mainstream is portraying millennials? It makes me a little bit worried about the future. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Katie – It depends on the age of the Millennials. Some are still young, and trying to find their way in life at a time when it is hard to make a decent living. As for the older Millennials that I know or know of, who are in their early-to-late 30s, they are working and raising families, like the generations before them. Like any generation, they are doing things differently from their parents, and the older generation will always complain about the younger ones.
And it is always those who mess up who make the news articles. A headline saying, “Millions of Millennials Leading Responsible Lives” is not going to drive reader traffic, whereas one saying “This Is What Is Wrong With Millennials” will.
Yes, Millennials have their problems and are not perfect, but my generation – the Baby Boomers – have had our problems, too.
It seems that Millennials are the first generation to have their lives under the unforgiving microscope of social media. When that began, they were still young, and still in the figuring-it-out-and -sometimes-messing-up phase of life, so their mistakes and whatnot were splashed out here in Internetland for all to see (and judge).
I have heard that because of the intense judgment that they have received from previous generations, Millennials tend to be more accepting and forgiving of the current younger generations. I have also read that they also tend to be more apt than older generations to volunteer.
A congressman should have his sources checked and double checked before he presents them so he doesn’t dilute his argument. I don’t rely on propaganda from China, Russia or the USA either. But we are much much better at it than the others I think. According to Reuters, the Azov regiment became part of the Ukrainian military in 2014.
The correct take?
“Insanity Wrap: The Correct Take on Scott Adams”

Separate from fitness for service, the military faces numerous other obstacles to recruiting younger soldiers, among them a perception that the military is engaging in left-wing social experiments.”
https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/77-military-age-americans-arent-fit-service-dod?utm_source=justthenews.com&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=external-news-aggregators

Again, this is just another reason why smart folks stay outta these crap hole cities run by Dems.
“This is what Democrats’ soft-on-crime insanity does to American families
Major crimes spiking in cities thanks to Democrat strategies but ‘Thin Blue Line’ protects all Americans”
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/this-is-what-democrats-soft-crime-insanity-does-american-families

Tell them to stuff it. Romney, Jeb, and the rest didn’t honor their pledge in 2016, so what makes you think they will now?
“Two GOP Stalwarts to Newsmax: ‘Drama’ Over Loyalty Pledge ‘Inevitable'”
https://www.newsmax.com/politics/2024-primaries-loyalty-pledge/2023/02/27/id/1110303/

Biden, his admin, and Dems are obstructing an investigation into the Biden crime family you say?
This s my shocked face. 🤨
https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2023/02/28/treasury-obstructing-investigation-into-biden-inc-n533793

“Report: Dr. Tony Fauci Increased Personal Wealth from $7.6 Million to $12.6 Million During Pandemic – A 65% Increase in Wealth! ”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/02/report-dr-tony-fauci-increased-personal-wealth-from-7-6-million-to-12-6-million-during-pandemic-a-65-increase-in-wealth-video/

“WH Tells RCP Biden Supports ‘Safe and Secure’ Gain-of-Function Research”
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2023/02/27/wh_tells_rcp_biden_supports_safe_and_secure_gain-of-function_research_148916.html

“Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Loses Reelection, the First One Term Mayor in 40 Years”
https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/02/chicago-mayor-lori-lightfoot-loses-reelection-becoming-the-first-one-term-mayor-in-40-years/
“Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot came in third in Tuesday’s vote to determine the two candidates for the mayoral election in April.

“Yup: FBI Director Says Covid “Most Likely” Leaked From Wuhan Lab
Christopher Wray: The “origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan.””
https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/02/yup-fbi-director-says-covid-most-likely-leaked-from-wuhan-lab/

“Farewell to Paul Ryan
Abandoning the party and conservatism.”
https://spectator.org/farewell-to-paul-ryan/
“Where have we seen this before?

“Journalists Against Journalism!”
https://townhall.com/columnists/derekhunter/2023/02/28/journalists-against-journalism-n2620013
