Prayer Requests 2-1-23

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 20

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
May he remember all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your requests.

Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

  1. Please pray for my husband as he does his re-certification this week. All the physical activity, hours of shooting and fighting are hard on an ‘old’ body. He basically eats supper, lays out his gear for the next day and collapses into his hotel bed. But, he’s doing it!

  2. Heavenly Father, I ask that You strengthen Kare’s husband this week for the rigors of his training. Please give him good nourishment to fuel his body for the extra load of work. May each exersion be rewarded with ability empowered by You. Thank You for gifting him with physical skills and mental acuity to figure out the best ways to accomplish tasks efficiently. I ask for good weather conditions that will not overburden those being tested. Thank You for making a clear path to passing each test before him. Please help all those with him to do well, too. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. Working out when which parent has the children is definitely going to be a challenge. Daughter thinks son in law should always be available and he is a jerk for not having a job. It does not work both ways.
