  1. πŸ™‚ A wonderful visit with daughter, her husband and our grandson.

😦 Had to cancel Christmas with the whole family.

😦 Television is almost totally dark.

πŸ™‚ We are so blessed in so many ways.

πŸ˜€ Jesus came to earth to save us all

    πŸ˜’ Cancer

πŸ˜€ Good docs, treatments and meds

    πŸ˜€ Answered prayers

πŸ˜€ Friends all over the globe to communicate with at the touch of a keyboard

  3. You know, when we were on that tour in Israel, the first tour we’ve ever taken, I started feeling like an 8-year-old.

All that was required of me was to get to get up, eat breakfast, and make it to the bus on time.

Everyday, the food choices were simple, the guide took us to and explained interesting things about what we saw.

Bliss for a very tired me.

Now that we’re in son’s territory, all I have to do is gently remind him of timing and we’re off!

(I wrote out the grocery list while the two young adults discussed the menu.)

(they really should get to work on potica and the Yule log).

    Lovely. Another vacation.

  4. My mom and sister made potica. I was never a fan. My mom once told us she had a loaf in the freezer we could use in case she died (for the funeral). She had moved away from that house long before she died, however.

A Yule log sound delicious! So appropriate, too.

  5. That television is only almost five years old. Not a happy camper about that. Young people would be amazed how long these things lasted in the olden days. πŸ˜‰

  6. You might try googling the tv brand, mine has helpful hints on easy fixes for those kinds of things, seems like that has happened to mine too

  7. Thanks, dj. My daughter’s sent me links to all those hints. I also have the book that came with the television. Nothing seems to work. This afternoon I turned it on and had a bit brighter picture. Now we are down to just dark shadows again. It makes me wonder if the dish is being affected by weather, but there is nothing we can see.

  8. My niece, her husband and daughter were in the Mall of America when they heard shots being fired. They were right by a door so ran out. It is sad to see all this violence. Very sad that for some young people it is just a way of life.
