Prayer Requests 10-31-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 99

The Lord reigns,
    let the nations tremble;
   he sits enthroned between the cherubim,
    let the earth shake.
Great is the Lord in Zion;
    he is exalted over all the nations.
Let them praise your great and awesome name—
    he is holy.

The King is mighty, he loves justice—
    you have established equity;
   in Jacob you have done
    what is just and right.
Exalt the Lord our God
    and worship at his footstool;
    he is holy.

Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
    Samuel was among those who called on his name;
   they called on the Lord
    and he answered them.
He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;
    they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

Lord our God,
    you answered them;
   you were to Israel a forgiving God,
    though you punished their misdeeds.
Exalt the Lord our God
    and worship at his holy mountain,
    for the Lord our God is holy.

  1. We are heading to the doc in just a bit. Asking the Lord to give wisdom and direction concerning these elevated numbers. I know others have faced these situations but we have not…new territory and trusting the Lord to navigate the journey as He walks before us. Husband is looking forward to this all being over with already! He’s never been a “go to the doctor” type.

  2. Praying, NancyJill.

    Asking for prayer as I try to organize for what appears to be coming my way. Travel plans, arrangement for children and chickens and food for all and for the folks…

    Prayer for Mike as he believes his dad will need a nursing home and step mom has set up for assisted living.

  3. Prayer for daughter, who continues to struggle with peers. A few of them continue to torment her and she is learning to walk away but it is hard. She so wants to be part of the crowd.

  4. After Janice’s mention of “special delivery”, in my mind I heard Mr. McFeely the postman on Mister Rogers saying, “Speedy delivery!” 🙂

  5. Psych eval Kizzie? That is what I am supposing considering his history. After the eval he should face jail time or some sort of consequence for violating a court order….or else what deterrent is there to stop the behavior?

    Praying for the grandbaby Kare..so exciting!

    Doctor is concerned as he had not expect this turn of events. MRI will be scheduled but they are at least three weeks behind in scheduling. In His Hands…

    AJ I thought I recalled your appt was the 4th…or the 7th? I know it’s soon! Continued prayer covering over it all….and trusting Him as we walk alongside…

  6. NancyJill – Praying for Paul and for you.

    Yes, it was for a psych eval. He’s been in the psych unit several times. I certainly agree that he needs to pay some kind of consequence for this. There have been so many times that he has broken the law in various ways and then gotten merely a slap on the hand, never jail time. Even when he violently attacked Nightingale!

  7. They have a 3-day hold provision in California, I figured it was a psych eval also if he was being taken to the hospital.

    Maybe they can tweak the medication, but 3 days really isn’t enough (if it’s the same there) — but it’s all the law provides currently, though all of that is getting reviewed with the mental illness issues we are seeing with the homeless population.

  8. Three days is not enough. Ten days is not enough.

    Sounds like we may have a new replacement worker! An old jr high friend who has kept in touch with my grade school friend and lives in the area. She has a heart for the elderly and experience caring for her own mom so could be good. Prayers. I would prefer to only leave sixteen for two nights rather than five a week.

  9. I had a nice telephone conversation with my friend, Florence, who remains hospitalized. She sounded better than expected but will probably be there a few more days. Her oxygen levels need to be higher. Glad they are keeping her there. She is the sweetest.
