Prayer Requests 6-23-22

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Welcome home Jo. 🙂

Anyone else?

Psalm 130

A song of ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
    Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

  1. Praying Romans 8:28 over the Janie situation. May God give Kizzie peace in knowing He had a reason for Janie to be there with her in the absence of her family members. I pray for God’s love, hope, peace, and joy to fill this stay vacay for Kizzie. In Jesus, Amen

  2. Kizzie, it really isn’t the dog, but the thoughtlessness towards you and your legitimate concerns. In other circumstances the dog probably wouldn’t be an issue for you. I am glad you were able to calmly make your feelings known. That helps to keep resentment from overwhelming you down the road. Praying you will enjoy your (relatively) time alone this week.

  3. My niece is being induced today, a little boy.

She’s very nervous but under excellent care at the finest hospital in San Francisco.

This little boy could motivate some important changes–his great-aunt is praying for.

  4. Thank you all for your prayers and concern. Kathaleena is right that the underlying issue is Nightingale’s thoughtlessness, at least in this matter. (She is so good to me in other ways, as you all know.)

I am hoping that this reminder of how her procrastination can have bad outcomes will prompt her to get going on some things when she gets back.

  5. Janice – To save money, Emily camps when she goes away. I do not enjoy camping. Also, it is nice for the two of us to have some time away from each other.

Emily has talked about taking a trip to Maine with me sometime – just the two of us.

  6. They will be leaving around 4 in the morning for what is estimated to be a ten-hour drive, but with stops will probably be closer to twelve hours, and then driving back next Tuesday. Please pray for safety for all of us – Nightingale and Boy in their travels and camping, and me being here on my own (plus two dogs and one cat 🙂 ).

Boy was asking me what I would do if an intruder broke in, and suggested I grab a knife. We have a really long, sharp one that would look pretty scary. 🙂
