“The Department of Justice (DOJ) apparently blocked Republican senators from questioning a U.S. attorney on an ongoing federal investigation into President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) wrote to U.S. attorney David Weiss of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware in May about potential conflicts of interest and the state of the investigation. The senators received a response from the DOJ, not Weiss, earlier this month.
The letter began by referencing responses that the DOJ had made to the senators’ queries on the Hunter Biden investigation on February 19, 2021, March 22, 2021, July 13, 2021, and February 2, 2022.
“As the Department explained in those responses, Department attorneys receive ethics and professional responsibility training as appropriate, sign a pledge to maintain public trust in government, and are subject to the Department’s scrupulous ethics and recusal protocols,” the letter said.
The senators had asked Weiss, who is leading the investigation into Hunter Biden, about former acting Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division Nicholas McQuaid’s role in the probe. McQuaid, who is currently the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, was a colleague of Hunter Biden’s criminal defense attorney Christopher Clark before joining the Biden administration.”
looking forward to all the “Republicans Pounce on Biden’s Bike Crash” takes today from the same people that called for 25th amendment after Trump walked slowly down a ramp.
By Democrat established rules, these insurrectionists should be thrown in solitary and held for over a year in a squalid DC prison after a Dem appointed judge waives their right to a speedy trial, right?
It only seems fair….
2) Fox is told the people were arrested in the Longworth House Office Building. The group was in the Cannon House Office Building earlier in the day trying to get interviews around the time of the 1/6 committee hearing.
4) However, the group surfaced later that night after the Capitol complex was closed to the public Fox is told they took pictures and video around the offices of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
8) USCP have issued the following statement: “On June 16, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) received a call for a disturbance in the Longworth House Office Building.”
10) USCP: “The building was closed to visitors, and these individuals were determined to be a part of a group that had been directed by the USCP to leave the building earlier in the day.”
So what you’re saying is Schiff is behind the latest insurrection attempt. I’m using the same standards they used to unjustly slander R Rep. Barry Loudermil. They set the rules, I’m just playing by them.
5) That said, the team could be in the office buildings if they were invited. And, in fact they were. Fox is told the Colbert team conducted interviews earlier in the day Thursday with 1/6 committee members Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Stephanie Murphy (D-FL).
Poor thing, like AOC on Jan6 I’m sure she feared for her life, even though AOC wasn’t even in the building….
8) The group apparently then roamed the House office buildings unattended for hours.
They were arrested near the office of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) around 8:30 pm et and charged with unlawful entry. They were in jail for part of the night before being released Friday
It’s time to seize Adam Schiff’s phone records to learn more about his role in the insurrection and the attempted attack on Lauren Boebert perpetrated by the coup plotters he illegally allowed into the building. https://t.co/2WCelWfiGp
Will democracy survive the Colbert insurrection? Only if we all work together to destroy everyone who ever knew anyone involved in it. https://t.co/2dCYfkBvyD
Now do you see why I consider the Dems “evidence” a joke?
They do the same thing they claimed Loudermil is an insurrectionist for doing. Congress give tours all the time, yet in Loudermil’s case, we’re supposed to believe they were up to no good, despite evidence to the contrary just because they took pictures Dems see as out of the ordinary, but really aren’t. This whole thing is a joke.
Congress needs to stop wasting time and money on partisan hit jobs and focus on holding these people accountable.

Taxpayers: – pay for the police – pay the private lawyers to defend the police when the police are bad – pay for the private lawyers to prevent the release of public records – pay for the investigation into the police and any litigation that arises – pay out any damages
So the DOJ answered the Senators 4 times yet the Senators are still complaining. At what point, will they be considered a public nuisance?
the Colbert comedy team overstepped their bounds and may indeed be guilty of criminal trespass – but drawing parallels to the events of Jan 6th is a farce.
The two cases mentioned — no heart beat, a serious defect — would not be conisdered for abortion under some pro life proposals yet we can understand the difference. And from my own life experience with terminally ill children, this experience will make you a better father. For abortions done for convenience, its a ridiculous statement, but in these two cases it does make sense as these case demonstrate the fragility of human life and the need to take care of those who are born healthy.
I think we can now all agree the police protect themselves first. Defund the police and put the money towards mental health and education will do more to prevent crime specifally school shootings then outfitting local police in military garb,

“Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) mocked the House Jan. 6 select committee after a production team associated with Stephen Colbert’s late-night comedy show was arrested on Capitol Hill.
The Georgia Republican, who attracted scrutiny for giving a tour of the Capitol on Jan. 5, 2021, just one day before the complex became the site of a riot attempting to overturn the 2020 election results, argued the actions of Colbert’s crew were hypocritical.
“They’ve accused me of giving this family that came to my office for a meeting. We took them to lunch, [and] they’re accusing us of that being a reconnaissance tour,” he said Saturday at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference in Nashville.
“Adam Schiff, a member of the Jan. 6 committee, illegally brought Stephen Colbert’s comedy team into the Capitol and left them unescorted at night, and they were arrested,” he said. “So while they’re accusing me of giving illegal tours of the Capitol, they are giving illegal tours of the Capitol.”
Loudermilk described the criticism he has received over the Jan. 5 tour, which was the subject of much of the questions from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot, as part of a broader “cancel culture,” saying that he is determined to “stand up for truth.”
Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said his force did “not consider any of the activities we observed as suspicious” regarding Loudermilk’s tour.
“We’re in a war against truth in this nation,” Loudermilk said Saturday. “If they can destroy the truth, they will undermine everything that we stand for in this nation and everything that it’s about. And they do this through hypocrisy.””
——
Dems are in a war against truth. That’s why they continue to hide thousands of hours of video from Jan6. The truth doesn’t fit their narrative.
Loudermilk is amusing – first he says he didn’t give anyone a tour, then the video is out, now it’s no big deal and he’s being persecuted. I’m sure prior to Jan 6, the tour looks innocent but in hindsight and in context maybe not. The video does show a deviation from the normal tour. His over the top protestation and trying to draw parallels to Colbert is farcical – Colbert won’t even have to deliver the monologue, just roll the Loudermilk snowflakery.
After all your complaints about the FBI and certain police forces, I thought you would be all on board the defund movement. Militarizing the police hasn’t stopped school shootings maybe spending the money elsewhere might work – try universal free mental health services.
Obviously a directed promo video; I’m sure if the video promo was targeting another democraphic, they would use a different flag or symbol. Its all nonense but its derived from using the Harvard Business model on the armed forces. Some things don’t work well under capitalism and modern business methods — the army is one and I’d arge there is a few more, such as health care.
Of course….
