Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 75
1 We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds.
2 You say, “I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge with equity.
3 When the earth and all its people quake,
it is I who hold its pillars firm.
4 To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.
5 Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak so defiantly.’”
6 No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt themselves.
7 It is God who judges:
He brings one down, he exalts another.
8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup
full of foaming wine mixed with spices;
he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
drink it down to its very dregs.
9 As for me, I will declare this forever;
I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
10 who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
Praying for the Ukrainians again this morning. It occurs to me how sad it is for those who not only lose loved ones but will not know if they are buried in a mass grave or cremated by the Russians. Just so much sadness for so many in this crisis–both for those in Russia and Ukraine. I am reminded lately of the song that reflects the truth that “He has the whole world in His hands.” I am grateful God never asked me to carry the world on my shoulders. He knew i am too weak for that. He is not, but all powerful and all loving.

And as we continue to pray for Ukraine, let’s also pray for the other parts of the world where horrible things are also happening. There are atrocities being committed against the Tigrayan people in Ethiopia and the Uighurs in China, for example. I think I read about a conflict in the Congo, but can’t remember the details.

~ What role do our prayers serve in the plan of God to redeem people from every tongue, tribe, and nation through Jesus Christ? From one of our live events, Derek Thomas, Stephen Nichols, and Michael Reeves discuss the place of prayer in global missions. ~
