Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 43
1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
deceitful and wicked.
2 You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?
3 Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Heavenly Father, thank You for going before AJ into his morning appointment and making a good way for everything to go smoothly. Please help him to release any anxiety to You in prayer and trust in You to make the best way through this unpleasant time. I pray his doctor and office staff will all be compassionate and caring people, Christian if possible. I pray that there will be no scheduling difficulties. Please help all diagnostics to have quick amd accurate results. Please keep pain at a minimum and help AJ every step along the way to healing what has brought on his symptoms. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Just realizing that part of my health problems right now is sciatica. When I sit in the wrong chair, I get up limping. Always helps to know what is happening

Thank you Janice, you too Mumsee.
I saw the urologist this morning. I have to go for blood work and have an appointment for a CT scan in 2 weeks. Then a week after that, a very terrifying sounding procedure where they stick a camera in a place a camera should never go. A front end colonoscopy by the sound of it.
No cancer showed in the tests they already ran, and my PSA’s are great, as the doctor says. So we aren’t really too worried there. It could be, but doesn’t seem likely at this point, praise the Lord. But the unknown is frustrating. That’s the worst part, the not knowing what’s causing these issues.
Again, thank you ladies.

I guess at some point I must have known this, but then maybe not…Did you know that the Psalms were the first prayers of the church? I think I must have thought of them as poetry and songs. Hmmmm……

You are welcome, glad to pray, sorry to need to.

AJ, I am sure what you are going through is scary. Anything health related is but it is scarier when it is you and it comes from nowhere.
I have watched two people I love going through catharization on a daily basis. I can empathize, but thankfully do not know first hand.

I was praying for a calming presence during your appt AJ. My near and dear was in “that” office on Friday and he must go on antibiotics, retest then a Teladoc appt in 3 wks. Something we did not know but having Covid can cause inflammation which will increase PSA numbers? We take baby steps, trust our Lord and I pray for two very special guys… ♥️

Inflammation is definitely part of my life now and has been since the shot which was shortly after the probable infection. So one or the other probably did it. Or the magnetic field. Or the electric power lines. Or the food. Or old age…

Glad you’re through the morning, AJ. That sounds like no fun at all, nor do the “things” coming up. Ask for sedation! My solution to everything medically creepy, just put me out first or make it to where I really won’t care.
Continued prayers.

Jo, I strained my lower back weeks ago, unpacking something heavy, and I also have had sciatica first thing in the morning when I get up. Between that the knee, I feel like I’m abut 100 years old until things loosen up (which thankfully happens pretty quickly after walking through the house once or twice).
This morning was the first time I didn’t seem to have the sciatica or lower back pain, though, so maybe it’s easing off at last.

AJ – The not knowing is often the worst part of these things. Praying for you.

Prayers, AJ, for your peace of mind as you wait. Oh so difficult.
I’d like to request prayers for a relative, R. He’s in his early 70s and had covid a few months ago. He is now having prostate problems and is catheterized and awaiting surgery this week. His wife, M, my husband’s sister, also had covid around the same time, which was just before my mother-in-law died (which was about a year after hubby’s and M’s sister L died). Prayers are needed for M as she grieves the loss of her sister and mother and as she nurses her seriously ill husband on top of all that.
One other prayer request, much smaller than the significant issues expressed on this thread that I even hesitate to bring it:
My new student who starts tomorrow is a transfer student (has already studied with someone else), and that is always a trickier situation than starting rank beginners. She studied for four years and got quite accomplished. However, her teacher retired at the beginning of the pandemic, so N hasn’t had lessons for nearly two years. So I don’t know what to expect and will need to think on my feet well tomorrow when I meet her. Prayers for wisdom for the lesson tomorrow and afterwards as I assess her musical needs and formulate a general plan for her studies.
Thank you.

Also praying for Chas and family.

AJ, I was in the room when Art had the tiny cameta procedure and I got to view what the camera filmed. I think Art has been through so much that it is not so scary any more. I will say that the view was much like what I have seen in movies about outer space; think of the magic school bus visits through the human body. Will Cheryl be with you? I did not watch what happened until I could see the screen after the camera was in place. It is fascinating, just like seeing an ultrasound was fascinating.

People are sure different, aren’t they? I can hardly imagine wanting Mrs B to be there for…that.

Praying Six for your requests. May R’s surgery go smoothly and give blessed relief without any complications. May anxiety be under control and prayers answered without a long wait.
May you, Six, trust in God’s care of the student and how He has gifted You with creativity and resourcefulness to correctly assess and provide the proper level of instruction for this new student.
If the student greatly admired the first teacher, Lord, may it be a situation that Six as the second teacher just gives added enrichment and reinforcement to start to bolster the piano study foundation already laid. May she know when the time is right to charge ahead toward new learning horizons. A double blessing is the optimum result. Please, Lord, may it all gel into lessons synergized by filtering through talents and skills of these wonderful and gifted teachers.
I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Thank you so much for your written prayer, Janice, and to all of you praying.

And I gave a copy of my MRI to my daughter for Christmas–proving I had a brain. 🙂

My husband always tells everyone that they scanned his brain and found nothing there. Yes, everyone is different alright.

When Hubby was in the hospital right after the stroke, Nightingale explained to him that the TPA was breaking up the clot so the blood could flow freely through his brain. He quipped, “That’ll be the first time in 62 years!”

I think the interest for me in being in the procedure room is partly of being in awe of God as Creator. His intelligent design of the human body and the proper function of all systems along with the repair of any part that for whatever reason has trouble is so amazing. I compartmentalize being in there so it is like being in a biology lecture hall. Also, thr urologist is a lady which makes me feel comfortable. If she were male I think I would be feeling differdntly and maybe not want to be in the exam room. We have been dealing with this for years so it doesn’t hold the novelty or emM arrassment

Embarrassment of being new at it.
