Prayer Requests 3-5-22

Let’s lift up Tychicus and his fellow team members today. They’re doing important work to help people fleeing a war torn area. Let’s pray for their safety, fortitude, and ease of travel as they help where they can. May God bless them all.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 42

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
My tears have been my food
    day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”
These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
under the protection of the Mighty One
with shouts of joy and praise
    among the festive throng.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
   Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

My soul is downcast within me;
    therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
Deep calls to deep
    in the roar of your waterfalls;
   all your waves and breakers
    have swept over me.

By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.

I say to God my Rock,
    “Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
    oppressed by the enemy?”
10 My bones suffer mortal agony
    as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”

11 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
   Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

  1. Still lifting our Brother and Blog Patriarch, Chas, along with his family and caregivers to the Lord for peace and comfort and focus on the promises of God that do not disappoint.

Tomorrow is my after church luncheon for prospective members. Please pray all goes well for everyone in attendance. Even with change that is good, there is still a little accompanying anxiety. I also will be in the first visit to another Sunday school class.

  2. Yes and amen. And thanks for the prompting to lift Tychicus and his team in prayer as they are on the forefront of helping those in flight for safety. May the Lord go before them and bring them safely through… and praying they know it was His Hand that has made it all possible ❣️To our Lord all the praise…and thanks to the team for their willingness to forge ahead

  3. I have received a couple of emails from our friend over in Europe. He is the CLC international director. They don’t have a presence in Ukraine but have lots of contacts. They say a lot of gov’t agencies and churches etc are meeting the physical needs of the refugees but they want to address the spiritual side by providing books and Bibles. Prayers for them and if interested in donating, let me know and I can give his contact info. Actually, he said to share the newsletter but that is not in my tech abilities.

  4. Prayers for all of the above. I am not sure how Little Miss is today. She and Daddy spend Saturdays while Mommy is in nursing school. I (we) try not to interfere on their family time. We have her so much of the time, I want them to be a family without us checking in all the time. I continue to be impressed with what a good Mommy K is. We see her the most although Mr P’s Baby Boy is supposed to come help us with some around the house things soon. It will mean he has to bring Little Miss and she WILL NOT let her Daddy out of her sight when means I will have to be outside to make sure she doesn’t get into anything.

  5. Thankful for the newfound unity in the U.S. over the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Not unity on every jot and tittle, there are varying opinions on whether and how to further intervene. But a unity in vision and resolve that efforts must be pursued to try to stop what is going on and assist those who are the direct victims of it.
